Shotsy - GLP-1 Shot Tracker 12+

This app is really great- I wish it was around when I first started! I used a spreadsheet I found online to track in the beginning but I switched to shotsy when it was available. I went back and put in all my data. It lets you track all the things you’d need- each shot you can put the time, dosage, and a detailed location. The app uses the half life of the med to give you an idea of the levels. You can also put in your weight each day so that you see a chart of your weight loss. You can also put in your calories and protein if you want. I also like that there’s a spot for notes each day, so I can put in there if I’m out of town or on vacation or ate a special meal or something. The one little thing I’ve noticed that is weird is that when you open the app, it can take a bit before your data shows up. I’m not sure if it’s loading from local storage or the cloud, but a few times I thought the app was stuck only to come back and the data showed up. But overall it’s about the perfect app for a GLP-1 user.

Shotsy has been a wonderful resource to me while traveling down the road of administering GLP-1 medications. I am currently on Zepbound for weight loss and it's helped keep track of shots, side effects, dosing, etc. I am also able to keep track of food, water, and weight. One of the most invaluable tools available within the app is the estimated amount of medication in your system at any given point. I am able to help mitigate side effects based off of amount and peak times of medication so that I am mindful of when I am taking other medications that may interfere with or add side effects on top of the zepbound. If I need to change my time of day of dosing, or actual day of dosing, the app helps me make my decision based off of current medication in my system. It calculates half-life pretty accurately. So far it's been a wonderful tool in my drawer of necessary items to be successful.

My mom takes insulin shots and told me that since I’m taking semaglutide with insulin needles, that I should use a calendar, write down any symptoms and side effects, and write down my injection site rotation. Wouldn’t you know it, there’s an app for that! This app does all of it! I’m able to track my weight, side effects, injection site rotations, and (my favorite part because I’m a science person), it shows you an estimate of how much of the medication is remaining in your system throughout the week. It even gives you a countdown until your next shot and gives you encouraging words once you’ve completed one! I purchased the yearly premium, because I wanted all of the tracking and didn’t find it to be too pricey. Highly recommend!
