Shredo is a beautiful and functional file shredding utility.
It permanently shreds files, folders and external volumes' contents to keep information secure and impossible for anyone to retrieve.
Secure Empty Trash feature is also available.
Depending on security level and data erase speed, you have 3 shredding methods at your disposal:
Offers good security and quickest erase of data. It deletes access information to your files and writes random bytes over the data ONCE.
Slower speed, but better security than 1-pass.
Writes over data 7 times, based on US Department of Defence (DoD) 5220-20 M standard algorithms.
Slowest, but offers best security.
Erases file access info and writes over the data 35 times, based on the Gutmann method for deletion.
Shredo supports external volumes and flash drives, but depending on their size and method selected, shredding time many vary.

Dear Apple, the developer was already informed about the graphical bug in Mojave. The issue is with the circular 'progress' bar. As the progress bar moves in a circle completing it's task, you can see a square box behind the graphic...behind the progess bar color. The app works fine otherwise. The developer has known this since 2 beta versions prior to the official Mojave release.

Thanks for getting in touch! Could you please get in touch and share a bit more detail?
Not sure which graphical bug you mean. Can't see any.
Just as I expected.
The $4.99 is well worth it. The app does as exactly as it said it would. Wise purchase.
Works as advertised but...
Shredo is easy to use and works (shreds) as advertized but be forewarned it is slow. A handful of files (approximately 10 files - the largest was 5 MB, the smallest 1K) took quite a while (a little over 5 minutes) to shred on the 1-pass option. The 7-pass and 35-pass options take even longer although being a more secure obliteration of files.
It does work and isn’t that expensive. I’ve haven’t encountered any problems using Shredo (other than it’s not the most speedy app) - no crashes, no hangs. So I give it a “It’s OK” rating.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
