ShshDox (pronounced shoo’-doks) adds personal security and flexibility to your Dropbox. Have you tried to edit a file in your Dropbox app? Create a new one? With ShshDox, you can easily create, edit, encrypt, search, store, and send important files you need to have available anywhere, any time.
For example -
We all have lots of passwords (at least we should). We have lots of accounts, with different hard-to-remember numbers. You can carry these around in your wallet. You can record them in a file on your computer. You can upload that file to Dropbox. But can you search easily for an account number inside your file - anywhere, any time? Can you make a change to your file? Can you encrypt it for safely sending it email? You can do all that and more with ShshDox. Features include:
* Create text folders and text files
* View, edit and search in text files
* Encrypt files or whole folders, each with individual password
* Send files via Email and SMS
* Convert & Save text files to PDF
* View PDF, PPT/PPTx, DOC/DOCx, XLS/XLSx, JPG, PNG, GIF
* Print files via AirPrint
* Save ‘shsh’ file attachments directly from email
* Use multiple Dropbox accounts
* For iPhones with TouchID sensors, enable the fingerprint identity for password protected 'dox'
Using ShshDox does require a Dropbox account, but it does not need the Dropbox mobile app to be installed. Your ShshDox data is in your Dropbox account and on your iPhone or iPad. Nowhere else, no added security issues to worry about.
* Support for TouchID for password protected/encrypted documents
* Automatic timeout to close password protected open documents
* Updated for iOS 8 and iPhone6/6+ support.

Simple & effective
I have dabbled with lots of methods to manage my online account information. The password managers are too rigid and requires planning. Based on the lifehacker tip, I like to keep a text file with all the passwords and sensitive login on the Dropbox. The beauty is that I can access it easily from anywhere. The problem was to find the needed information on my iPhone. I tried this app and it looks promising.
Especially like the fact that I can encrypt it and search quickly on the phone. I have used it a few times and like it so far. Also have put my JPEG/PDF files of health cards and passport copies and encrypt it just on case while I am traveling.
So far so good
I have used this app for some time and find it quite useful. I have saved my important details in a password protected file. Also some important details like photos of my health insurance card, driving license as well as pdf copies of my passport. The other day i forgot my license while on an errand and needed an id for picking up a certified mail in the post office. Showed them the copy of the license and they accepted it! Saved me a trip:-)
Hope this is available on the desktop as well.
App is quite useful to store and carry the locked documents that can be opened by finger print. It is possible to store & lock scanned PDF documents like passport, driving license, auto insurance card, health insurance card. It was possible to store the boarding pass nd I could avoid accessing the airline site to access it while boarding.
I have been using ShshDox to store username and password of financial sites. Main advantage is to get them on my iPhone screen using search function and no need to scroll. It was quite easy to import my exisitng text document containing usernames and passwords and was not necessary to create new one in the App.
I could share locked file with my friend who can open using the password sent separately.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
