الوصف

Shut Up spares you the opinions of troglodytes by hiding comment sections when browsing the web in Safari. You can also set your favorite websites to show comments by default.

That's it. Simple and free. Enjoy!

Exactly what I needed.

Downloaded, turned on in settings, checked a few sites on Safari, and I cannot see ANY comments. Goodbye toxic internet people, hello peace and safe browsing. I don’t know why things like this are not more popular, but I guess more people feed into the poisonous online community than just going online for education and keeping up to date on things. We really should be able to turn comments on and off on all platforms and apps, I’m hoping one day we can.

I would happily donate to this app.

It saves me time online I would have wasted reading comments. By default, this should be included on all phones and internet devices as it really helps me spend less time getting distracted online.

Great concept, great app, one small thing

Super useful in that it prevents me from the odd compulsion to waste time reading the opinions of strangers.

However, I’ll sometimes want to deliberately check a site with a discussion thread on my phone and, after allowing it, I’ll delete the site from my “exception” list but comments still show up. Usually I have to uninstall and reinstall the app. Not quite sure why this happens.

There are a couple ways around this:
1. If you tap the "aA" icon in the toolbar next to the URL in Safari, there's an option that says "Turn off Content Blockers." That will reload the page without any blockers applied. The next page you load will turn them back on again.
2. When removing the site from the exception list, you should be able to reload the URL in Safari and the comments should be blocked again. The changes can only take effect when you reload the page.
Thanks for the review, hope this helps.
