Our unique combination of messaging service and YouTube search engine allows you to play, pause and discuss popular kid-friendly content that you and your child share with each other. Talk about what you’re watching -- about their day, tasks, feelings, or just have fun! it’s up to you...and them!
Sidekicks requires two devices. Simply download Sidekicks to a single iPhone or iPad, and we’ll quickly guide you through the rest of the setup process!
In early Sidekicks testing, parents using Sidekicks for ten or more sessions saw an improvement in their child’s abilities to regulate their emotions and form independent questions.

Can't get it to work
Love the concept and the few times I've been able to use it with my client, he has been responsive. Just kept dropping the call. Not sure if it's the app or the phone carrier. Will continue to work with it though.
I don’t recommend this app and I’ll tell you why, I’m not going to tell you my name, but all I can say is that I had a bad experience with the company that made this app. So, I have autism, and I’m not going to go into detail what they did to me, but I will say that they were very mean to me. So, again I don’t recommend this app. Thank you.
Helpful and fun
Being a dad of a child on the spectrum means constantly handling unexpected, sometimes volatile mood swings of my son. The videos he loves to watch are a godsend, but I've always found it difficult to communicate with him about them. He struggles to make eye contact and vocalize his feelings, like many spectrum kids. The Sidekicks app has been immensely helpful in resolving that. He opens up to the avatar characters much more than usual. We're able to watch videos he loves and interact together, instead of just me watching him watch YouTube.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
