Silentium is no longer actively maintained. We may remotely updates the ad-blocking rules from time to time, but nothing more. Thanks to everyone who bought the app for supporting us.

Silentium is the best ad blocker for iOS. It makes browsing the web on your iPhone and iPad even more enjoyable by removing annoying ads.

◆ Websites will load up to 4 times faster
◆ Consume less battery and data
◆ No longer let ad networks track you or your browsing
◆ No longer show annoying social media buttons, cookie banners, and more

Ads can cause pages to load slower, consume more battery, and eat up your data plan. With Silentium, sites will use up to 25% less battery life and up to 50% less of your data plan. This lets you use your data for content you want, not ads.

Silentium also blocks a lot of nasty stuff like malware, tracking services and cookies. Enabling our privacy filter you will make sure that you are always be protected.

We believe in “ethical ad blocking”. Some sites serve tasteful, unobtrusive ads. If you trust and want to support one of these, you can White List it. This will enable ads and scripts on that specific site only.

Silentium provides advanced features like a low traffic mode (that allows you to save even more data), a filter for cookie-law banners (that removes those “this site uses cookies” warnings) and a basic parental control filter (that blocks adult websites).

Silentium syncs all your rules and preferences via iCloud so that you will have a consistent experience on all your devices.

We strive to make Silentium the best ad blocker on iOS!

Works fine

Of course advertisers find ways around these things but it does work. (And of course someone's paid for those 1-star reviews.)

My only gripes are that I don't know how well this works as the ads are just gone, and they fact it hides Apple's keynote videos.

Ad Blocker.

I love this app, it’s awesome!! I have had no problems with this app. It updates automatically and blocks ads like crazy. I recommend this app to anyone who wants and needs to block ads on there phone. If there is a problem with the app, the developers will fix it immediately without any hesitation. They update the app constantly so that the end user will not have problems. On a scale of one to ten, it’s a twelve!!! Thank for this ad Blocker and keep improving on it.

Don't Waste Your Money…Too Many Bugs!

This app breaks the basic functionality of too many websites that function perfectly with other content blockers. I experimentally tried whitelisting the images and scripts on one of those sites (it didn't work), and discovered another serious bug—once a site is added to the whitelist, there appears to be no means to delete it from said list. Using the "Restore Default Configuration" button does not remove it; neither does deleting and reinstalling the entire app. I have permanently uninstalled Silentium from my iPad and will be requesting a refund from Apple.
