UPDATE, August 2016:I've been using SimDif to design and maintain my site for years, now, and it hasn't let me down. They've kept the app current, and have just released an update that really increases the speed and responsiveness of the app (which was the only minor quibble I really had in my original review, below). So, I stand by my original review, but can now say that it's been a reliable, long-term web authoring companion.Original Review:I've been looking for a good, versatile, simple-to-use web authoring app since Mobile Me and iWeb vanished, and I've finally found one. Extra bonus: you can do all your authoring right on an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. The app is a native client for a template-based (but surprisingly customizable) website builder and hosting service. The service allows for a free, small site (7 pages, which is not bad for free!) and the ability to upgrade to a paid, larger site. (The paid, larger, more customizable service is quite reasonable in price, too.) The app moves quickly, though uploads images while you're working, so it can bog down a bit, depending on the speed of your connection. Right out of the gate, this app is excellent. There is some room for growth, but even so, I can't do anything but give it 5 stars. Grab it, build a site, publish it for free to a free hosting service, and maybe upgrade if you need more (or if you want to use a custom URL).

Since my first review, this program has been updated and works beautifully! Great customer support too. They took my problem, emailed back and forth to me, and they got it fixed. I'm very impressed and love the app!!love this program, but it doesn't work with my keyboard. Can't believe that they have not fixed this since the February review mentioned Logitech is not compatible. So you have to go online to edit with the keyboard, but photos are a problem there, so you have to go into the app. Very disappointed. Still using it because my keyboard worked up until I moved my web site domain over. Now it's there and I don't want to start over.

I am not the most tech savvy person on the planet, trust me. I have tried other "build your own website" sites before. This is exactly what it says. Simple/Different. I had my site layout and some content up in minutes. The ease of this is why it was fun. To see fast progress builds confidence I I didn't expect. I had a problem loading my pictures, but it was my settings that was the issue. The level of customer service I received was patient, polite and knowledgeable. They were tireless in walking me through my issue and I was back at it promptly. My highest possible recommendations. Just try it.

My iPad was supposed to be repaired a few months back, and when I got it back, I had a lot of catching up to do. I later receive an email, and no warnings, that my account has been deleted since I haven't signed in for a while.My opinion is that this is the worst website creating application I have ever used so far.Extremely limited abilities for free users, very short active website time with the requirement of re-publishing the site in order for it to stay active. Well honestly, I think this is the worst since my progress has been erased. So if I paying fees monthly/yearly, and then I don't si in at all or I stop my subscription, and would this same thing happen? Probably. If anyone wants a REAL website creator that is a whole lot better than this junk, webs dot com is your goal. I will never touch this junk again.

This is the first app the is actually useable for making a website on the iPad that I have tried, and I have tried many. The site options are very generic, but with creativity you can make it your own. I would love to see more layout options and flexibility in layout and font sizes on the free plan. I realize it is free, but larger fonts would be nice. I have combined two of my sites into one site using this app over the course of a few hours. Very easy to do. Overall, highly recommend if you need to build a website using your iPad.

I decided to use this app to build my initial author site. I have to say I am extremely pleased with the results. I was able to build and get my site up within 30 minutes and have had many favorable reviews. I highly recommend this for first time site builders and for those who want something quick and easy.****Only issue I have is that there is no way for any traffic to leave comments. This is a mandatory requirement for my site and although I love the simplicity, I won't be able to upgrade my account as I had originally planned.
