I was going through the process to sign up but it wouldn’t let me get past the fun questions section. The hometown entry wouldn’t load any searches so the button to move forward stayed grayed out… had to completely back out of the application and it deleted my progress. Should really look into allowing you to skip certain sections and fill them out later to avoid getting stuck in the middle of the signup process.

I downloaded and tried out the app after seeing it on TikTok to support a black owned business and its really disappointing to see how they are trying to get your money off the bat. If you’re able to get past the bugs regarding location and inputting your information, and then you complete your profile with pictures and a bio, the app essentially holds your account for ransom. It says you can pay $10 for same-Day access or you can wait for them to “let you in”. I wanted to see how long would it be in comparison if I didn’t pay, and I’ve now been waiting for 2.5 weeks. That’s totally wild!! I would much rather they ask in the app if we wanted to make a donation to help them keep the app running, I mean, look at what Wikipedia is doing! They give you the option to donate money, and a good amount of people do because they enjoy the product. All I got to do was set up a profile, I haven’t been able to test anything out and see if it would even be worth it for me to use it free let alone pay $10 to get in! So, I deleted the app and won’t be looking back unfortunately. I hope they’re able to improve on their creation though and wish them success!

Love the great idea for making friends and connections. Few glitches in the sign up process for example setting a hometown. Proud of the work put it! I’m sure this app could be great once fixed!
