    It's a good start, but there are some basics that are missing.1. In the reports section, it would be very valuable to be able to see a list of someones status updates for a period of time. Then a manager could use that report to see "when" someone was in/out, what time they changed their status, notes posted in the update, not just how long they were in.2. More status options. I know you can add notes to each In or out, but most in/out software have other statuses like Lunch, Meeting, Vacation, Sick ..... and then the Update can be populated with more detailed info like where the meeting is or how long the vacation will be.3. Customizeable status. In addition to more default status options, the capability to add your own status options. Like "Onsite - At Client", "Heading Out". Things that would be more informational to individual companies.4. And lastly, there is no place to give you feedback on the app/website so you leave clients (like me) the only option to leave my suggestions and feedback in a review.I won't be using this app because it is missing these things and cannot accomidate my company. But will be keeping an eye on it just in case I can't find anything else.

  • Great app, but upgrades process needs work

    I have found this app extremely helpful. The geofence feature has been great. There is no way I could remember to sign in/out manually, so this is a job saver.Interface is simple and easy to use, although non-intuitive in a few places.There is, however, and issue with upgrades. I often lose my geofence (and sometimes login) settings after an app upgrade. This is very frustrating as I don't find out until I am confronted by my manager. The app should be able to carry my settings forward between versions. Fix this, and you have earned 5 stars.

    Sorry to hear about the app losing your settings between app updates. We have seen settings get lost when you update the OS, but not when the app updates. We added iCloud support to retain some of your settings (like which Geofences are enabled) between logins. We we agree, the app should not log you out between updates. We'll take a look to see if that is something we can do anything about. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Brilliant, but....

    This app has a brilliant concept! You can keep track of where your employees are at during working hours. Sure beats using whiteboards to log in and out. The app has a great feature called Geofences that automatically logs you in when you enter a fence that you have set up. For example in our case, we travel from campus to campus. Unfortunately, it does not work for us. It logs us in at the wrong campuses. I have contacted them and told them about the problem and was told that it was probably our cell towers. Thing is we have great service in our city with LTE network. Now we saw an increase in monthly price without fixing the geofence issue. If they fix this issue, I would give them 5 stars and we would continue using the app next school year.

    Sorry about that. Geofences don't work very well in close proximity to one another. We have lots of customers that want to use them for buildings on campus. Fortunately you can use Beacons for each building to shrink the size that is covered. That is the only good way to get coverage between buildings that are within a kilometer of one another.

  • App works but...

    this app makes it easy to check in and out. I don’t use the Geo fencing feature because I’m not always working when I am in the office. The one thing they can fix is when you schedule a update it defaults to a week in the future. So often times if you don’t remember to change the date to the current date, you wind up scheduling an update a week in the future. Seems like that would be an easy fix. Other than that, the app works wonderfully.

    Thanks for the kind words, we’re really proud of Simple In/Out!Regarding our default for scheduling a status update, most of our users schedule updates for days/weeks/months in advance. Users typically don’t bother scheduling updates on the same day and instead update their status in real time as the day unfolds. This is why our default is in the future, though as you mention you can change it any time. I hope that helps, but let us know via our Help Center if we can help further.

    Our small company of 45, have used this App for close to 2 years now, replacing a paper sign in/out sheet. We love the ease of use, automatic status updates, geofences, and the ability for people to customize their own statuses or use our Company Quick Picks. Quick glance at the ‘board’ tells us where everyone is at any given time.Simple. Easy to learn. Painless. Efficient.

    This is my favorite offering for digital sign in/out software. I'm not quite sold yet though, I really need a native iPad version preferably with landscape mode, as well as a kiosk mode that would allow any staff member to sign themselves in or out from one central device easily; the admin mode does this but is not intended for this purpose, it could be much simpler. Geofence capability is not reliable enough for my purpose, I wouldn't depend on it.If these items were addressed it would satisfy my needs perfectly.
