Sippd: Wine Tracker 17+

So far I’m really enjoying Sippd. The app is simple to use and I like that it has a taste matching feature. I am particular about the wines I like so this is great and I found 2 new wines so far that I love after putting in my likes - a perfect Cabernet and a Chardonnay. The app has great category suggestions for grilling and hanging out on the patio/porch! What I really like the most is the budget categories vs splurging category so I can compare similar priced wines with one another instead of seeing a really expensive wine next to a budget wine on other websites.
Other great things to call out is that the UI is simple and user friendly, so it’s fairly intuitive to use and navigate - I’m no spring chicken but was easily able to use the app and find what I needed quickly!

As a sommelier, I’ve always been asked what types of wine APPs do I use or would recommend. I would usually tell them that the ideal APP would depend on what they truly need: a community of wine tasters/views, shopping or keeping track of what they like. Then I was introduced to Sippd, which does all that and so much more — including understanding a friend’s preferences to shop for or pick out the most appropriate wines based on their own interests. But I think what really sold me is their commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive wine community through its Blog on the Website. They make it a point to showcase underrepresented winemakers while also offering up information on how shop by social causes that are very personal and important.

I was very overwhelmed at choosing wines, especially when I was just starting to learn what exactly I liked and how to pair with foods. I found labels, wine review websites, and blogs overwhelming. This app really streamlined the process of figuring all that out for me. As I try and rate new wines, it recommends new wines based on a taste match. That allows me to refine my preferences and so far the wines that have been over a 90% match have been spot on for my taste preferences! I also enjoy their pairing recommendations for going further outside my wine comfort zone while also enjoying with a specific type of meal. I definitely recommend this app for wine novices to help with further exploring wines...I promise wine stores and restaurants will no longer be overwhelming with Sippd!
