Sketch Drawing Photo Lab transforms any image into a hand-crafted illustration using six distinct artistic styles and three powerful render engines. Every conversion runs entirely on your Mac — no account, no cloud upload, no network connection needed.
Six Sketch Styles
Choose from Pencil, Charcoal, Ink, Watercolor, Colored Pencil, or Crosshatch. Each style exposes independent sliders for noise level, sharpness, edge intensity, threshold, contrast, detail boost, paper intensity, and adaptive edge preservation — so you control the exact look rather than accepting a fixed output.
Three Render Engines
Classic mode uses CPU-based rendering for consistent, predictable results on any Mac. Studio mode applies extended processing for higher-fidelity output with richer tonal range. Adaptive mode leverages Metal GPU acceleration for fluid real-time previewing while you adjust parameters.
Paper Tones and Color
Set the mood with six paper tones: White, Cream, Warm Grey, Grey, Sepia, and Dark. Output your illustration in black-and-white or full color. The integrated color correction panel covers exposure, gamma, hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, and one-tap auto-enhance.
Artistic Filters
A built-in CoreImage filter catalog lets you layer additional effects over any sketch: Comic, Pointillize, Crystallize, Pixellate, Edges, Edge Work, Hex Pixellate, and Bloom.
Stickers and Text
Add personality with the sticker system: phrase art, animal illustrations, and text stickers with font selection and color control. Position, resize, rotate, and set the opacity of every sticker independently.
Batch Processing and Export
Convert multiple images at once with a built-in progress tracker. Export in PNG, JPEG, JPEG 2000, TIFF, or BMP at any output scale. PNG exports support a transparent background. Print directly from the app or send your work through the native macOS share sheet.
Before and After
A split-view comparison slider lets you evaluate the original alongside the converted result at any point in your workflow before committing to an export.
Presets
Four preset tiers — Quick, Standard, Detailed, and Pro — provide starting configurations you can fine-tune further with any combination of style parameters.
