What’s New

Version 99.5

What’s new?
- We’ve rolled out a brand new prototype player that works across the Mac, web and iOS apps. With our new prototype player, playing your prototypes should feel smoother, faster and more reliable. Plus, it also supports background blurs on Overlays and pinned elements on scrolling Artboards.
- We’ve made it easier to create versions of your Workspace documents and add a description by using ^⌘S. You can also add a star to control which versions Viewers and Guests can see. This means you don’t even need to manually save Workspace documents at all unless you want to add a star or create a version. While we’ve always saved your changes when you close a document, we now automatically and regularly save progress in the background as you work.

What’s improved?
- We’ve added Foresight to the Tidy button in the Inspector — you’ll now see a preview when you hover over it, giving you a better idea of how your changes will look.
- Tidy now also works on both the horizontal and vertical axes, making it even easier to align layers.
- We’ve tidied up the Layer menu — you’ll now find a new Symbol submenu that groups together all Symbol-related actions.

What’s changed
- Copying or dragging layers and Artboards from Sketch over to an external app as PNGs now works the same as JPG and TIFF exports, with the correct amount of pixels according to the scale, and always at 72 DPI.
- macOS Sonoma no longer supports converting EPS files, so you won’t be able to import EPS files into Sketch. You’ll need to convert your file to PDF first to import it. Sorry about that!

In-App Purchase not available

App Store product page suggests In-App purchase is supported, however it does not seem possible within the App itself. A trial is offered after account creation. However after it expires the App just shows an error that you don't have access. No subscription prompt is given. Only leading to the website that offers it's own subscription page. There really isn't any other screen besides the login prompt which requires an existing subscription.

Buyers Beware! There's no In-App Purchase

It's sad to see Sketch using dark patterns forcing users into buying the monthly subscription by only using their website.

I want to pay using iTunes payment. If I wanted to pay through their websites, I wouldn't download Sketch from the App Store.

Seriosuly, what's the point of downloading Sketch from the App Store when it's limited and annoying?
