I just purchased this and tried to open it after install. I repeatedly get "Sketchmee quit unexpectedly" and to reopen, only to continually have the same thing happen. Any suggestions as to what I should do now?? I don't want to rate it without even using it, but since I have to, it's a 1!

i bought this and should have done more research. Don’t buy it! I couldn’t do any renditions in it and when I tried to look to the developer there was no website found. Page can’t be found.I’m going to try to get my money back.

I have only used this product for one day, but I have tried it on numerous photos and I can report that the results are poor. From people's faces, to cars, to pets the sketches turned out simply do not represent the detail or snap required for a good image. A good drawing has very dark blacks and the range of tones to white - or the color of the paper - are usually numerous, at least five to eight. This good tonal range is lacking in this version of the program. This sketching program uses cross hatching exclusively and this feature alone destroys the ability to gain great detail. Note that the examples shown use many kinds of strokes, but that must be for the more expensive program (I presume) because this cheaper version has none of those variations of strokes. All you get is cross hatching which isn't adequate for a lot of pictures. None of the choices given to vary the picture include different kinds of strokes (scribble, dots, strokes going only one way etc).Most really good drawings have what I will call "snap." That is, the range of tones and color (if color is used) offset one another in a way that catches the viewer's eye with the contrast and the color banance. This program does not provide that snap. Great photographs have that same quality, thus, a good photograph, when sketched, should have snap. Somehow, this program just doesn't provide that quality that is so important to making a drawing good.I do not recommnend this program even at the extremely good price. I will not be using it for anything as it would be a waste of my time.AD2

Get this amazingly freat app NOW! It's got so many pulldown options that you make anything from a nearly identical looking drawing to some pretty crazy stuff!! It all depends on the user's imagination and understanding of the features. Primogen, if you save your drawings as PDF, you will get resolution independent sizing, just by opening your PDF in Photoshop, which asks you what size and resolution you want your pixel art, or with any vector art program worth its salt . all you need do to create outlines in your drawings is to select all the vector lines -- which have varying stroke widths -- and ask the program to Outline the selections, and there you are: nearly 4X the crow quill , chalk or pencil lines with lots of white space inside them if you want, or you can leave the tones as you started with them as PDFs but add a black, sepia, grey or whatever color outline around each of the shapes you created from the strokes! FLEXIBILITY is the Key to tjis beautiful program.
