Amazing app and concept

This app is top notch and fills a void for anyone looking to build friendship with likeminded people on the slopes or to find someone to share an adventure on the mountain with. I am new to the app, and have not gotten to use it on the slopes yet, but know i will be using it next time i go skiing! I know the features will only grow and improve! Thanks so much for making this!

Developer Response ,

Thanks so much! Hope to catch you on the slopes this year!

Has potential but needs some basic updates

App needs a notification page where you can click on recent notifications and it will bring you to the correct area. Currently if I click on the iOS notifications it bring me to the app, but not the specific mountain that the notification is from. It just brings me to where I last left off on the app, which is often a different mountain then the notification since I follow 3 mountains. There also needs to be a “favorites” page where you can save mountains for easy/quick access . Place it on the left panel screen under “select a mountain” and above “share with a friend”.

Update: Developer listens to feedback, which is great. I’m looking forward to the next and future updates.

Developer Response ,

Hey thanks for the feedback. I actually just fixed the push notification piece and it's waiting for approval by apple so make sure to check for the update. Before it only worked when the app was in the background, now it works when closed as well and should take you to the right channel. Worked on some major changes to the main screen as well. The notifications was a big priority of mine, just haven't been able to find the time to code on the app and have been trying to get the users so people can find people to ride rather than working on core functions. Favorites is on the agenda as well as friends and seeing where they are on the mountain.

If I get spammed through a notification one more time, I’m deleting

App notifications are not for sending product news or promoting your app. Please don’t do that again.

Edit: Now blasting notifications to send jokes? Deleting this app

Response to developer:

Those were two different instances of frivolous notifications. You should remember, you sent them.

Anyway, you’re misinformed regarding the information that should be in notifications. Please review the Apple Human Interface Guidelines section on Notifications. It specifically uses telling users to open the app as an example of what you shouldn’t do.

This isn’t because it’s a rule, it’s because it pisses off your users when you randomly interrupt them with no information of value. If every app used notifications for sending a joke once in a while, our phones would be buzzing constantly with garbage, everyone would stop using them, and it would defeat the purpose of notifications. So please, have some respect for your users and don’t send them nonsense or self-serving messages. They may have notifications enabled because they find a feature you have useful, so don’t a take that for granted and make them regret their decision.

Developer Response ,

App notifications have many purposes, but then can be turned on and off if you don't want them. I am sorry that using them in a way to get more people to open the app (for those that want the notifications on) has caused you to leave a one star review and to make a so called "Edit" when there was never an initial review.

Here is information on how to turn off notifications-
