Create a personalized vegetable seed-sowing calendar for spring, fall, and winter seasons. The app creates a calendar showing when and how to plant over 100 different types of vegetables. Select the season and the vegetables you want to grow during that season. The app creates a customized calendar based on your climate by entering your average first or last frost dates.

This app originated on Skippy’s Vegetable Garden Blog. It has been tested and used by thousands of home gardeners and agricultural students all around the world. Skippy’s Vegetable Garden is an award-winning blog that was awarded Best Garden Blog by Horticultural Magazine.

Why do you need Skippy’s app?

It can be hard to find the planting time from a seed packet. And when you do, you still need to COUNT BACKWARDS from your frost date to figure our when to plant. It can get confusing. Skippy's Vegetable Planting Calendar App solves this by doing the work of counting, assembling and displaying weekly planting tasks for the vegetables you choose.

Skippy's App is designed for gardeners all over the world. It is effective anywhere with four seasons and a cool winter with an average first and last frost date.

How does it work?

Select the season. Select the crops you want to grow. Add your garden’s frost dates. The app will create a calendar that lists your planting tasks by the week. Once set up, the app opens to the current week with your current planting tasks.

Disappointed & done ,

Loved the old app

I bought the new app but the option to change the frost dates isn’t working. Audibly I can hear a scroll to find the date but the calendar numbers are like ghost- invisible- you can’t see them?

I’ll go back and use the old app but wish I could use the one I just spent money on

Developer Response ,

The new version of my app wasn't designed to work on tablets! That's why that's happening. It will be fixed soon - before you need to start planting. I'll leave a message here when it is! I'm so glad you liked the old version and thanks for letting me know about the problem. :-)

Cant add frost dates

If you can’t add your frost dates this doesn’t do much for you. If they fix the bug and you can actually plan to plant when you are supposed to it might be worth it. Really expensive for an app I can’t use.
Don’t buy if you don’t plan on using it on your phone or tablet.

Started my fall garden

Love this app! I was able to plant at just the right time, the plants I wanted to sow so fingers crossed I will be enjoying my veggies at just the right time!
