Skyscanner Flights & Travel
Ratings & Reviews
I’ve been using Skyscanner for over a decade now I’ve traveled over 50 countries being in the military that’s a great option and Skyscanner is my go to for any kind of weekend travels or long-term travels and shows the best prices. It helps. You figure out where you wanna go when you wanna go and what’s possible at the best budget Skyscanner is just an amazing nap and I’m really grateful that it exist
It’s great for last minute bookings, also used Skiplagged for last minute flight booking. There used to be the filter for choosing different continents, well they got rid of that which is a bummer. However there algorithms for flight prices has been more accurate. Unfortunately, for long term flight tracking details I’d recommend Google Flights, as the prices lead you to official airline site.
Developer ResponseHi. Feedback like this is what helps make our app better, so thank you for taking the time to let us know about this issue. We’ll get it over to the right team ASAP.
The app has stopped showing correct prices, and will not update when searching flexible dates within a given month. It has basically stopped functioning entirely. There is nowhere to report bugs or issues within the app, and support takes you to an infinite drop down menu of potential help desk questions with no way to report an issue. I would not download this app until they fix the clearly major bugs going on right now.

My wife and I are travelers. I am actually posting this review from Asia. We are going to Thailand, Brazil, and Colombia this year and if I could take a picture of all the apps and websites we use, you would be amazed. My review is of the good and bad but quite honestly u feel the need to brag on Skyscanner a bit. I have been searching and searching for deals and just yesterday I spent 3-4 hours creating a base-level itinerary for our return trip to Brazil. I searched every single app and nearly every website we know that can contain deals or information that Skyscanner can't and besides say Kayak and maybe one or two others, I would say Skyscanner is just too good. Kayak has the +or-3 days to see if it's a better deal within a spectrum of days instead of one and sometimes I wish there were easier ways to save flights, maybe in a folder inside of the site. I also wish that being far out (5-6 months) that one could search the whole month but I know that's asking quite a lot. All in all, no other site is able to provide cheaper flights than Skyscanner. I do most of my planning there now because I simply don't like wasting time looking it up every time on every website when the results are repetitively conclusive to Skyscanner being a better app and site for flight finding. I would love to see them include links to blogs for flight finders and maybe even start a Skyscanner social media page. When and if someone finds specific deals at a time and date they could post it and maybe even have those postings under specific tabs like Inside Europe or "Going to Hawaii?". I believe that this idea could blow up the app and site usage. Live the site and the app! Thanks for the great deals and everything you do to get us to where we are going!
Initially I got great deals through this app. That’s how they lure you in. I have used it now for 2 years and I can honestly say this with confidence. The first 2 flights I booked I got great deals! I literally got 2 round trip tickets for $40 each traveling to different locations. That was within months of each other. After that the luck was gone and I have never had such a deal since. It’s been about a year and a half and I have yet to buy another flight using this app. I spend lots of time comparing flights and you can get better deals on Priceline after your 2 “lucky” flights. This app usually has the highest prices compared to any of the others out there. Use for your first 2 flights then delete it!! It’s not worth it. Download Priceline and thank me later!! ;) Also the new version has started linking to third party websites once you get to the dates and flight you want. The third party sites are screechy to say the least. Once you choose the flights you want the price increases and you can’t get back to the original price. This was once a great app but has now lost all cool points. I haven’t used it in a year and a half since I’m finding the best deals on Priceline or going straight to the business site for rental cars. Once you buy your flight through Priceline they will send you codes for better deals on cars/hotels. Thank me later ;)
Developer ResponseHi there, thanks for your review. At Skyscanner, we always aim to show you the most comprehensive results we can, so that you can choose the flight that suits you best. We show prices on behalf of travel providers, rather than setting the prices ourselves, and we display the price exactly as it is set on the travel providers page at that time. If you have seen better prices somewhere else, we'd be keen to investigate this further. Feel free to get in touch with the details of your search, and a member of the team will get in touch with you as soon as possible. -Skyscanner Support
I haven't had the money to go on a trip in over 10 years, even now I had to charge my trip. Because Skyscanner has good reviews I trusted them to send me to a decent company to complete my booking. My first clue that things weren't going to go well was that after I followed the directions from Skyscanner to the travel agency and purchased my ticket, Skyscanner didn't keep any record of it like they're supposed to. Then that company they sent me to offered trip protection, which I purchased. Now I have surgery scheduled on a growing tumor in my ovary that will push my trip date off. Good I bought protection, right? No. The company, where people can barely speak english, sent me an email saying they can't do it. Why? "Cause: Shutdown consolidator (wholesale purchaser of tickets directly from the airlines), which is decorated by your ticket. Therefore, changes in the ticket can only perform either carrier." - So, all I could figure from that is that I have to deal with the airline directly myself. Well, at least my ticket is real. I've read some statements on Facebook by people who were also sent to this company, Senturia, by Skyscanner and lost up to $3,000 for a ticket that was never purchased. To sum up, take what Skyscanner recommends with a grain of salt. Better yet, go with a company that has a longer history of handling airline ticket purchases... Or just buy straight from the airline.
