I like how I can easily see what time I should go to bed or what time I should wake up based on my cycles. I have noticed that I’m not as drowsy in the morning (if I follow it and go to bed). It would be cool to eventually be able to see more data from Apple in the app like if my cycles align with the typical 90 minutes but for now I’m not complaining. Thanks for this app!

I like that it in addition to the times to wake up, shows the number of hours you’ll get, and highlights the two best ones for a full night’s sleep. And I love that it doesn’t collect any data or otherwise compromise user privacy—and that it’s FREE.

  • Doesn’t actually do anything

All this app does is tell you how many hours of sleep you’ll get at 6 possible times based on what time you tell it you want to go to bed, or the exact reverse, what time you need to go to bed if you want to wake up at a particular time and want to get X hours of sleep. IOW, all it does is 1st grade arithmetic, which you can obviously easily count yourself, whether forwards or backwards, by just adding or subtracting X hours from your desired bedtime or wake up time. It actually skips two hour twice in each section, so if you want a time in between those pairs, you’ll have to manually calculate it anyways. In fairness, that’s really all it says it will do, and the changes are instant, as you turn the dial. The problem is the app came up when I searched on “sleep tracker” - and it just doesn’t actually track anything at all, so it seems that the developer has miscategorized it. But s/he *did* say it’s a sleep tracker, so the fact that it definitely isn’t what I’m basing my stars on. *And* the thing about the skipped hours.

I am sorry for the confusion Wendy. I don’t categorize or describe the app as a sleep tracker. It’s as you found out a simple calculator. Some people find it convenient instead of doing the math themselves. Apple‘s search algorithm automatically decides to put my app for sleep tracker. It’s not my fault and I can’t do anything against that. The rows are based on sleep cycles, which are 90 minutes. So that’s why it’s not listing each hour. According to some sleep research it‘s better to wake up after a multiple of 90 minutes instead of in between a sleep cycle. If you can consider editing your rating it’ll help people, who’re looking for a simple sleep time calculator like my app. Here’s the description, which doesn’t mention sleep tracking:Sleep smarter. Feel more refreshed. Calculate the best time to wake up or when to go to bed. It's based on sleep cycles. They're about 90 minutes each and it's good to get 5-6 cycles. Sleeping at midnight for 5 cycles? Wake up at 7:30 AM. Need to wake up at 6:00 AM, but want 6 cycles? Then hit the bed at 9:00 PM. Not falling asleep immediately? Customize your fall asleep time. PS: Most people need ~ 15 minutes to fall asleep.- Apple Watch support- Customize time to fall asleep

  • Simple. To the point. Easy to use.

Compared to other apps that are free to use this one lives up to the name of being advertisement free. Such a breath of fresh air to have an app not distract me before bed with ads and to provide accurate data that I can adjust to my individual behaviors!

I’m lazy and hate to do math but I still want to know how many hours I sleep if I go to bed at a certain time and need to be up by a certain time. Now that I start the gym at 4:00 am in able to know what time to go to sleep to get my needed hours of rest. Great app.

  • No Graphs

This may be user error, but the info isn’t set to a graph. I’m a visual person and enjoy a good graph. Also, it’s just data. No other helpful information as to how my sleep is affecting me…as in general research about my specific sleep patterns. It did say that “a (generalized) sleep cycle is typically about 90min” and that more cycles are good. I didnt see it show me how many “sleep cycles” I achieved. Again, may be user error? Not a very helpful app.

It’s a simple calculator to figure out good times to wake up / go to sleep. Not a sleep tracker. It would be considerate to rate the app on what it’s marketed as. In the latest version I added some analytics, if you have sleep data in Apple Health. I do hope to expand the functionality in the future. Best, Kai
