Thankfully, Sleep Cycle offers a clever solution for improving your rest. Rather than yanking you from your slumber at a specific minute, the app analyzes your sleep patterns, then picks the moment you’re sleeping lightest (within a half-hour window you define) to rouse you gently. Best of all, unlike some smart alarms, this one doesn’t need extra hardware or require your device to be resting on your bed: It tracks your sleep using just its microphone.
I really enjoyed this app and I think that it would be extremely beneficial for anyone who wants to be more educated about their sleep patterns or for people who are having a hard time sleeping. This app tracks your sleep cycles by tracking your sleep patterns and how often you wake in your sleep, move around, snore, cough, talk, etc. In the morning you can look back and see at what points/times you awoke and you can even listen back to audio to hear what you were doing in your sleep. It also has a function to gently wake you up when you’re in a light sleep. This would be helpful for people who have insomnia or who may think they have insomnia, due to it tracking how often you awake. It could also help with people who have anxiety of sleeping or falling asleep because you can rest assured knowing that it will record you all night and that you can hear everything the moment you wake up. there’s no wondering what happened while you were asleep, because the app will show/tell you. It could also help adults and children with ADHD who have a hard to going to sleep because it has a sound function to help you relax and fall asleep and again, you can hear everything that you did when you wake up in the morning.

It’s ok, more for entertainment
I like the program, wish it were more accurate. I sometimes suffer from insomnia and wanted to track how much sleep I was actually getting. This program doesn’t register that I’m waking up in the middle of the night. I’ve taken to taking with me if I get up and walk around, just to have it show up as awake for a minute. When I watch movies for an hour it thinks I’m asleep. I’m watching the movie on the same phone as the app - you’d think it’d realize something. Apparently according to this app I get a great nights sleep almost every night. It also thinks I must be doing great on minimal sleep since that’s what I get many weekdays. I wake up most mornings not feeling rested, and don’t sleep through the night, but this app isn’t going to help track that. Amusing, for that I’d give it 4 stars. I’d give it 5 if it actually tracked when I was awake , and tracked the weather correctly ( massive storm all night doesn’t even show up) and if the air pressure tracker worked. Yes wifi and cell signal on. They need a feature to plug in how many hours of sleep I need at night- I wasn’t born yesterday- and set my own goals for sleep, instead of deciding 6 hours is my ideal, which is unhealthy information to give someone who may not realize only few people need less hours. Tried a couple apps, this one still seems the best at tracking anything.
