I know what you’ve been doing at night. Doomscrolling. Don’t doomscroll your precious sleeping hours away! We’ve embarked on the journey of creating sleepdawg, an app targeted to eliminate digital distractions and other apps that prevent youths from sleeping on time: with the help of a furry friend. Name, play with and look after your very own canine companion, who will help you cut down late-night screentime. Your sleeping habits will be directly accountable for your playful pet’s wellbeing. By blocking apps with sleepdawg, you’re responsible for keeping your dog happy, healthy and alive. Don’t worry, you’re not alone! As you bring your dog through stages of evolution, log into our Game Center leaderboard to check how your faithful friend is faring among a community of fellow likeminded youths with a goal for good sleep. What sets us apart is our widgets and notifications. With the widgets, users are able to view their dog’s profile in a memorable and accessible way. Notifications serve as gentle reminders for the user to wind down before bed- improving their overall sleep quality. We hope that sleepdawg can aid our fellow users in sleeping early. This app was built by Vidushi Krishna, Toh Qin En, Tiwari Anantika, and Hailey Chua Yixin as part of the 2025 Swift Accelerator Programme.
