The ultimate advance in Web browsing without an address bar

■ Design with purpose down to the last pixel

The designer here designed Sleipnir from scratch to provide a Web browser that can make browsing the Web for the people of today even more enjoyable and useful. As a result, we were able to place the number of advanced features such as the easy to view thumbnails that display pages and the evolved search fields that can find open pages in no time into the breathtakingly beautiful and simple toolbar. Each part of the bold looking design has a purpose.

■ Gestures that captivate you the moment you touch

The bothersome task of aiming for a small button with your cursor is unheard in Sleipnir. You can simply use touch gestures with Magic Mouse or the Track Pad to close tabs, go back, and more. Furthermore, because you just need to move your finger tips, bothersome keyboard operations and even just moving the cursor is not necessary. Even if you are holding a mug of coffee or resting your cheek in one hand, you can continue to browse the Web just like usual.

■ Quickly find open tabs even when they reach 100

Compared with the time we first embraced tabs in Web browsers, it is becoming more and more common to simultaneously open a number of pages such as Web applications and social networking. Sleipnir has been carefully designed in every nook and corner so that you can quickly find the page you want from all the rest. Whether you have 100 tabs opened or not a single tab open, you can find your desired page in no time at all.

On the right track

I absolutely encourage the developers to continue fixing bugs. I prefer the layout of this browser to that of chrome, safari and firefox. This browser also loads faster than those ones. I like the bookmarks layout as well. There are a few issues that I should mention. First, in gmail I cannot scroll using a trackpad. The scrolling does not stop when I stop and I end up at the bottom of the page. Second, I have my dock on the left side of my screen. When I use the quick bookmark button, the box that appears goes outside of the browser window and ends up behind my dock. This is a problem because I'm unable to click on the folder where I'd like my bookmark to go. Third, the use of a two-finger sideswipe to switch between tabs (very good idea by the way) only works in the left direction. If I do a two-finger sideswipe to the right, nothing happens. Other than these relatively minor problems I'm a fan.

Super Fast, needs improvements but promising browser!

This web browser does need some work. Occassionally some websites do not load or display correctly.
But overall this is a super fast web browser that is a delight to use! It doesn’t have many extensions right now. But if you don’t use extensions and just want a fast web browser. This is worth trying out.

Major limitations

First, there is the lack of extensions.

Second, there are the bugs. Lots of them, it seems.

Third, there is the heat that my system generates whenever I open this browser. It's worse than even Chrome.

Fourth, with each upgrade, it gets slower and slower.

Fifth, it's the least intuitive browser I've tried. Even less than Internet Explorer. It just itsn't intuitive. The UI alone is a problem, with the placement of key fields in places that I wouldn't expect them.

In short, there are lots of downsides, and while a few years ago, this was an inovative program, it's kinda like iTunes--it no longer is. It needs a major upgrade/rewrite/redesign. I've removed it from my dock.
