I thought it would blur images that are AI while I look on other apps. It might in the future. I know it’s probably a smaller developer but I cant sustainably check every image manually.

I just tried it out today. I used 2 images that I knew were ai but had tricked me. And it also believed that it was real. I'll keep trying this out since I have hope that it'll be helpful.

We can detect images with IPTC/C2PA watermarks (from Adobe, Apple Intelligence, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, etc.), with 100% accuracy. However, for cases where watermarks have been removed or aren't present, we rely on a custom on-device transformer model for detection. We're currently training an improved detection model with about 10x more training data than our original model, and if all goes well, we’ll be release an update with it soon.If you have any other feedback or examples you'd like to share, we'd love to hear from you. I just tried it out today. I used 2 images that I knew were ai but had tricked me. And it also believed that it was real. I'll keep trying this out since I have hope that it'll be helpful.

I used two of my first three free checks on logos I designed, and both came back as “AI Slop.” Since I was present throughout the process of creating said logos, and I know that used zero ai the entire time, it would seem this “detector” is a dud and will lead to wrongful accusations. I don’t think I’ll be subscribing.

It’s very likely that you or one of your associates are using AI generated base images in creation of the said logos. If the app classifies something as certainly “AI Slop” that’s based on image metadata and not machine learning. Please reverify all your image sources, there’s almost certainly something AI generated in it.

This doesn’t actually check if an image is ai generated, it only checks how flat an image isIf I feed it any of my artwork prior to shading (so it has a lot of spaces that are just a solid colour) it will say my artwork is 99+% AI slop. Additionally feeding it any image that is a single solid colour, such as a screenshot of itself, will say that it is 100% ai generated. I tried generating afew images, locally too for even more obvious samples, all returned as real images.This app does the opposite of what it is supposed to do and should not be worth your time, especially not worth your monthly subscription to be able to “check” more than 3 images per day. Furthermore, it includes a tool to help disguise AI generated slop which is completely against what the app advertises itself as. Your great grandmother is likely a more reliable tool than this app at detecting AI slop, do not recommend.

Thanks for the feedback. Our detection model analyzes multiple factors beyond flatness/color distribution. False positives on pre-shaded work are rare but can occur with certain art styles. The text cleanup tool you mentioned is separate from image detection and helps creators cleanup and improve their work. We're always improving our models.
