"Great things are done by a series of small things brought together." •⁠ ⁠Vincent Van Gogh This release has a tiny update for small talk EXTRA members: for images (such as on Recipe, Image, Exercise and Book of the Day categories), there's some gesture-control elements now for ease of use: double tap to zoom in and out, swipe down to get out of full screen, and so on. Coming soon in the next update: search on saved, dark mode app icon, updated settings interface, and some other cool stuff you've asked for.

This release is just to fix a bunch of pesky bugs that slipped the net with the latest release. We've fixed an issue with widgets not reloading properly, EXTRA status not showing accurately, and other issues revolving around subscriptions. There are three new premium categories for EXTRA subscribers: Book, Exercise, and Affirmation, helping you kick start your new year's resolutions with ease. We've also refreshed the design of widgets, and are now offering a lifetime membership option for EXTRA.

While I wouldn’t exactly call overcoming this bug a 'glorious' feeling, as Molière suggests above, there's certainly a palpable sense of relief.

We've made a couple of little design tweaks to the daily quiz for small talk EXTRA subscribers. Yes, this is a shameless plug for you to upgrade to EXTRA for a mere handful of pennies a month - you'll get a trivia quiz, a daily IQ test question, a recipe, a bit of philosophy and more each day! Also, we realized that the anchor bar menu (that thing with the navigational icons at the bottom of the screen) looked mildy condescending. Something about it really just didn't sit well with us, so we removed the icon titles. It's fairly obvious what they do. We didn't mean to cause offence. This change makes us feel 1% better about ourselves, and we hope it does so for you too. And finally, while we have you here, here's a pretty cool quote we thought you might like: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel" - Maya Angelou Wonderful stuff. You can see why we were so worried about the potential anchor menu condescension now right eh? Anyway. We are busy working on V2 of small talk which we are very excited about. In the mean time we have released a small update to fix some of the issues our users raised as well as some some slight cosmetic improvements: - Signing up: You are no longer required to signup when you first download small talk but you will have to create an account if you want to save any content. - Apple login: You can now login with your Apple ID - Screenshot bug fix: It is now even easier to share a screenshot of your favourite small talk. - Easier on the eyes: We have changed the font colour and spacing to make it even easier to read (dark mode is on the way as well).
