I rated this app five stars only so that my review would appear at the top and warn others. This app is incredibly deceptive. As soon as you go into settings to enable full access for the keyboard, it requests permissions that are absolutely unacceptable—including access to your credit card information and street address. For a keyboard app, this is not only unnecessary, but deeply concerning. Why on earth would a keyboard need access to such sensitive personal data?I discovered this app while scrolling on Instagram. The ad for “Smart Keys” looked promising, especially since the comments were full of hype and positivity. As someone trying to improve my Korean, I thought it could help me communicate and translate more effectively. But when I saw what kind of access it was demanding, I was both shocked and furious. This is a gross invasion of privacy, and I strongly urge others:‼️DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP‼️Extremely disappointed.

Hey Laney, we completely agree that a keyboard shouldn’t require all those permissions. We don’t use that information. However, for a keyboard extension to access the internet and translate your messages, it needs to have that permission. (All smart keyboard apps require this.) We understand it’s frustrating for us to have to ask for it as well.

  • Best tools for the iPad

    Leandra Val

Smart Keys on the iPad is a fantastic feature, especially for its proofreading capabilities, as it corrects mistakes right after you type, making the writing process smoother and more accurate. But what really stands out to me are the built-in cut, copy, and paste tools within Smart Keys. These tools are incredibly handy for quickly moving text, duplicating content, or making edits on the fly.

  • Expensive

It's an amazing app, but at tge same time it pushes a payment plan and when you don't pay you get very very limited resources, the auto correct dosent work nearly as well as the Apple one, in all honesty if I could get less restrictions as a free download than I’m sure I’d get more people, maybe have adds instead of limited availability?

    Developer Response

Hi Bryson, I apologize for the number of paywalls! They are indeed annoying. The MacOS version has fewer limitations, so give it a try.

This app is horrible. It doesn’t even translate to what you’re actually putting into the text. I figured this out by translating it to see if it was actually giving real results not only just that but if you wanna use it a lot, you have to pay. you’re basically paying just for nothing.

    Developer Response

Hi Nasser, it does cost us to translate or proofread your messages. Feel free to try other smart keyboards like Grammarly or TypeAI.

  • Too expensive

    Jh@on

Well, everything is cool except for the price. To be honest, it's too expensive. You should either decrease the price or make the lifetime option available.

    Developer Response

Hey AHG, lifetime is back! Enjoy!
