No account. No email. No password. No analytics. No cloud sync.
Your workouts live in Apple Health and on your device - full stop.
Delete the app and your data is gone, because it was never anywhere else.
Privacy isn't a setting you toggle. It's the architecture.

Your interval days just got sharper. Every rep is measured on its own, so a session like 5x1K gives you five clean splits at the exact pace you held. Your watch cheers you through each segment as you run it, and the workout wraps up right on the final piece.
Train in miles? Your splits now land on the mile, beautifully, on the run screen and on every share card you post.
Effort you log on your watch now flows straight into Apple Health, including the runs you rated before today. And your reminders move with your plan, so a session you shift to another day greets you on the right morning.
Lace up and enjoy the run.
2.0.18 Jun 15
Your watch and your phone stay in step. We rebuilt how upcoming workouts travel from iPhone to wrist, so today's run is already waiting on your watch when you glance down, and nothing can trip up mid-sync.
Not training for a race right now? Maintain Fitness is a goal that keeps you sharp between marathons. Choose how hard your quality days should be, and the plan holds your fitness steady instead of chasing a peak.
Aerobic Efficiency joins the Stats tab: one line, week by week, showing whether you're running faster for the same effort. Filter by run type, pick a window from six weeks to a full year, and watch the build instead of guessing at it.
Your week is honest, on Home and in your plan. Move a long run to another day and it still counts where you ran it, and any extra run shows up on the right day and adds to the week's total.
Deleting a run is safe and instant. And if you're new, a clear welcome sets you up from the first launch, so your training starts the moment you finish.
2.0.17 Jun 1
Quieter runs, smarter coach.
Apple Watch alerts now follow your pace window during work segments, not a single target. Match the briefing on the wrist and stop guessing whether you're close enough.
Same-day briefings read the right weather. The forecast for when you're actually running, not the temperature at 8am.
Small touches: the home weekly strip stays in sync when a workout is skipped, the briefing edit button is visible again, strides workouts get their own theory note.
Show up. The plan flexes around you.

Minor bug fixes - imports are much better now :)
2.0.2 May 16
V2 is here.
Before every run, Runner now tells you what kind of day it is. How recovered you are. What the weather will actually feel like. Whether to push or hold back. The guesswork is gone.
Your post-run map is the star of the show. Bigger, cleaner, with every kilometer marked along the route and colored by whether you nailed your zone. Tap to go full-screen.
And when training starts to bite back, Runner now offers a smart adjustment before you dig the hole deeper. One tap to take it.
Less noise. Better runs. Lace up.
2.0.1 May 15
Your planned workouts now sync to the Apple Workout app on Apple Watch. Enable "Workout Planner" under Settings > Apple Watch and your weekly schedule will appear in the Workout app automatically, including the full structure of each session. Long runs show their easy phase and marathon-pace phase as separate steps. Tempo runs include warm-up and cool-down steps. Interval workouts show the exact rep count, distance, and target pace for each rep. When you add or change a workout in Runner, the Apple Workout app updates automatically.
HealthKit access is now more reliable. The app re-checks your connection whenever you return from the background, deep-links directly to the right page in Health app settings, and shows a clear banner on the home screen when access has been denied so you can fix it in one tap.
Bug fixes
1.9.9 May 12
Tap your route map to go full-screen. Pinch to zoom and pan to inspect your route in detail.
Insights v2 is on Live. Deeper analysis, more insight types, education cards.
Apple Watch announces your last interval. Haptic tap and voice cue the moment a structured workout's final interval completes.
Bug fixes.
1.9.8 May 11
More accurate insights
Two insights were quietly misfiring — now fixed. "Even Pacing Gold" only triggers when you actually run the tempo segment as prescribed, and "Polarized Done Right" requires a real mix of easy and hard work instead of firing on pure easy weeks. Insights also no longer trigger for missed workouts.
Smarter pace ratings
Pace ratings now respect the band you chose — Standard, Relaxed, or Very Relaxed. Multi-segment workouts (progressive long runs, tempos with warm-ups) get rated segment by segment, so each part counts on its own. Past workouts update automatically.
Accurate race best efforts
Marathon, half, and other race best efforts now use your actual recorded time.
Stats drill-down
Tap any Best Effort to jump to the source run and see the full post-run analysis. The Volume chart adds a Daily view (last 14 days) and tap-and-hold to inspect any bar.
Hide the freestyle run button
A new Settings toggle removes the freestyle run card from your home screen.
Richer insight icons
Insight cards now use a wider set of illustrations - including target and shoe icons - matched to each insight type for easier scanning.
Faster Insights tab
The tab opens immediately, with cards loading in as they're ready.
1.9.7 May 9
Post-run insights.
After each run, Runner surfaces a short observation about your effort - your pacing consistency, cardiac drift, or how your training is trending.
Free runners see up to 3 insights per run. Premium unlocks the full set across 9 categories.
More to explore in Progress.
Premium runners now have access to volume trends, intensity breakdown, pace progression, and training load history in the Progress tab.
Fixes.
Resolved an issue where Apple Watch audio could get stuck in ducked mode after a workout. Fixed a bug that could cause duplicate workouts to appear on past days of the training plan.
1.9.6 May 7
Fixed an issue where the same run could appear twice in your history.
Runs completed on Apple Watch, Garmin, or any Health-connected app now import exactly once, even when multiple sync channels deliver the workout at the same time.
1.9.4 May 5
Runs appear the moment you finish, better plans, smarter pacing - and a big fix for Garmin runners.
Runs land automatically.
New runs from Apple Watch, Apple Workouts, or any Health-connected app now appear in Runner the second you finish - no Import button needed. You'll get a notification as soon as a run arrives, and your effort rating syncs correctly to Apple Fitness.
Better plans for runners building their base.
If you're starting from under 20 km/week, your plan now reflects where you actually are: easy runs to build your aerobic base, volume that grows at a sensible pace, no intervals or tempo until you're ready.
Pace zones, your way.
Pace zones now go up to 15:00/km, and you can tap any value to type a pace in mm:ss directly. A new Pace Range setting (Standard, Relaxed, or Very Relaxed) lets you widen the in-zone band on hilly routes or tired legs - your choice flows through the live pace bar, watch alerts, and post-run splits.
Your long run is on the right day from day one.
The long run day you pick during setup now applies from your very first week.
Weather in your preferred units.
Temperature and wind now show in Celsius/km-h or Fahrenheit/mph, matching your unit setting.
Fixed: Garmin runners with iPhone in their pocket.
A bug caused Garmin imports to show double the expected km splits, all at the average pace. Splits now show the correct per-km paces from your watch.
Stability improvements.
Fixed crashes that could occur on HealthKit workouts with unusual duration data and when the training calendar was in an unexpected state.
1.9.3 May 4
Smart Run Tagging
Your imported runs now get automatically classified - easy jog, tempo, long run, and more - based on your heart rate and effort data. Review suggestions from the home screen and accept, edit, or dismiss them in one tap.
Smarter Shoe Assignment
The app now checks all your active shoes when suggesting which pair you wore, not just recently added ones.
Import Prompt for New Users
If you have runs in Apple Health but haven't imported them yet, a new banner guides you through the process so your training history is complete from day one.
New App Icon
Fresh look, same app.

1.7.5 Apr 28

-Shoe Arsenal
Track your entire shoe collection, not just one pair. Add your shoes, log photos, and see exactly how many kilometers each one has on it. The app automatically assigns runs to whichever shoe you wore, so your mileage is always accurate - and you'll know when it's time to retire a pair before your knees do.

-Shoe of the Day on your Watch
A new watch face complication shows your current shoe with a photo and live mileage count - right on your wrist.
-Improved Per-Kilometer Splits
Split times are now computed from your actual GPS distance samples, giving you precise kilometer-by-kilometer pacing data instead of estimates.
-Training Plan Improvements
Added support for prior mileage - if you've been running in shoes before starting the app, you can enter the existing kilometers so your tracking starts from the right baseline.
