S'moresUp is an app that helps parents raise and nurture responsible, independent, self-managed and financially savvy kids.
We achieve this by providing parents with simple, easy to use and safe tools to manage chores, allowances, calendars, setting up play dates, staying in touch with extended family and friends and a parenting community all from one place.
For kids, we provide tools that can help them self-manage and practice money management skills.
My name is Priya, and I am the co-creator of S'moresUp. It all started with a simple post on the local community.
One year ago, I was going through some hardships in life that had thrown my life and our family routine out of whack. It wasn’t an easy time for any of us. Not knowing what else to do, I asked our local community to recommend a family management app that would help maintain a schedule and bring consistency to our lives. I got a few good recommendations and ended up trying them all.
Unfortunately, each app was only good for one thing – and downloading 10+ apps to manage my household did not make things easier. Checking oodles of apps all day takes up time, and without syncing any of it together, it didn’t solve my parenting problems.
That's when I teamed up with my friend Reeves to hack a system that worked for my family. We talked to other parents, and we iterated on our solution as we got feedback from them. The result is S'moresUp; A modern-tool for modern-day parents!
S'moresUp was created based on my experience and insecurities as a single mom trying to balance my family life and professional life. S'moresUp provides a simple tool that maintains consistency for my kid and keeps it secure to communicate and collaborate among family members.
Sometimes parenting is hard. But you don't have to tackle it alone. Give S'moresUp a try, and you would never want to go back to the old ways.

First of all the essential features of S'moresUp is 100% free. The app considers anyone who is signing up for as a parent. You can invite a partner to manage the family and can add any number of kids to the family. Each person in the family has separate access (pin) to their profile. Kids in the family have a different profile page than their parents.
The app has four primary menu buttons:
Everything that you need to know about what's happening in your family is right here. From home, you can stay in touch with your family members through messages and post. Send them a lovely picture from your workplace or use it as a way to set some ground rules at home.
Home is also the place from where you share things with your connected families and friends safely and securely.
As a parent, you can also engage with other community members and share your thoughts or ideas with them. Be it parenting tips, upcoming events, news, doubts, clarifications, or research information; you have an open space to post them.
It is an easy way to manage kids’ chores and allowances.
* Setup the recurrence of the chore by selecting Daily, Weekly or Once as you create the chore and assign to your kids.
* Track all your assigned and unassigned chores in “Family Chores" section
* New to chores, "Discover Chores" can help you get started with some favorite chores.
* Automatic reminders sent to your kids for incomplete chores before its due.
* Simple calendar designed from scratch with families in mind.
* A view for every member of the family
* Easy import of events from other calendars
* Setup a playdate with connected family members with a click of a button
4. Easy Family Management

With all these multiple and advanced features incorporated in a single package, it is no surprise why S’moresUp is one of the best chores app in the market.
Simple, Safe, and Secure way to stay organized and connected for modern-day families.
We listen to our users and update the app pretty regularly to keep things running smoothly. Occasionally we surprise them with something fascinating and this is one such.
Your family wall is getting some love from us. We have made the family wall your default landing page.
We are standardizing the preferences section and moved all Chore related advanced setting there. With this, you set your preference at one place and all the chores get the same settings.
Ratings and Reviews
I have never written a review before, but I am so impressed with this app that I felt compelled to let others know!
We’ve been using this for about two weeks and am thoroughly overwhelmed by the amount information this will track while also giving so much flexibility to customize it for my family.
The community page for all app users is a beautiful concept! We are able to share ideas and get feedback from the developers well within 24 hours! The developers post frequently regarding the updates on which they are working and respond to users questions and ideas well within 24 hours!
Other chore apps we have used will not sync between our devices; this app syncs seamlessly. Each of my boys has it on their phones & my husband and I have the app on our phones as well. The only time a device was missing info was due to an iOS update delay. Easily fixed and back up and running!
I HIGHLY recommend this app!

BEST chores app hands down!
I've looked at and tried several different 'chore' apps but this one far surpasses the others. I love that it is totally customizable and I'm able to tailor it for each of my kids.
I have an autistic child. She is what some would call high-functioning but her autistic characteristics are definitely there and makes life difficult for her. When I tell you this app has changed everything it really has! Most autistic kids are very goal oriented and this app fills that need...at the same time it helps reduce communication issues and expectation problems are almost non-existent. For me it goes beyond 'chores'...I give rewards for 'keeping a good attitude' to 'not interrupting others while they are talking'. You can plug in any desired behavior for your child and they can earn points for it. And since it is customizable, you can even key in those really sensitive/difficult problems that an autistic child might have that most others wouldn't.
Not only that, but all of my children can't seem to remember to do the everyday routines without me asking. Since we've had this app, I haven't had to ask even one time! 😳😁 Happy mom here.
And just as an added bonus: Customer service rocks! I was a corporate trainer for several years and I'm telling you they have what I taught...
1. Be there
3. Be kind
5. Do more than expected
6. Have fun
They nailed it!

A lot of issues with layout on iPhone XS Max
Update: Great support from the development team. Hopefully the concerns below will be resolved soon, nonetheless 5 stars for your attention to these comments!
I’ve been playing around with this app for a few hours and it looks like it’ll fit my family needs. However I’m having lots of issues with the app layout on an iPhone XS Max; all options at the top on several views are almost laying on top of the iOS icons for clock and battery... and they’re unresponsive. Also, the profile pictures get cut off at the top, and I have three kids added and the main page cuts the pictures as well. Also the Gmail calendar doesn’t seem to sync. I tried reporting these issues on the developer’s page for this app, but I get errors there too when trying to submit feedback.

Update: enigma_acn, we released a version of the app that addresses the issues that experienced on iPhone XS. It would be awesome if you could confirm that the issue got resolved. - Reeves, Team S'moresUp
Update: We identified the screens where the layout is giving problem and we are working on fixing the same. Appreciate your patience enigma_acn
Update: Thank you getting back to the review and updating it. It takes a lot of commitment and we appreciate that.
We are looking into increasing the sensitivity of the app on the X version of the iPhone, especially the ones with the notch. We hope to have a version released by the next week which addresses this issue. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach us at email@example.com.
Hello enigma_acn, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will immediately do some testing of the app on iPhone XS Max and address the problem that you have mentioned.
The profile picture getting cut off at the top was an intentional design so that we can accommodate more information on the main page for kids. There was this section that listed Unassigned Chores for kids, that was being displayed below the fold on smaller phones and addressing that we clipped the profile picture for kids a little.
Regarding Google Calendar, it takes a little while before the sync completes. At this time, the indication is very subtle (color of the google icon changing from Grey to full Color). The time to complete sync depends on the number of events and the number of calendars that you have on your Google Calendar. If you see any discrepancy, please let us know, and we will look into it. Our email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. We do want to make sure that your concerns are addressed so that we can better support other parents with similar needs.
I sincerely apologize that you were not able to reach us through the support channel. If you were trying to do a support post and if the posting failed, we will have to look into it.
I want to take this conversation over email as I don't feel that I have satisfactorily answered your concerns. Please send an email to email@example.com.
