Auto block the SPAM sms & stop the notifications, sound and vibrations for such SMS. The application uses Heuristic detection and Artificial Intelligence to automatically detect the unknown spam sms. It comes with its own database of around 5000 spam SMS messages which is utilized by the Heuristic detection engine to identify SPAM with high detection rates.The blocked SMS are placed inside “Unknown & Junk” section of the “Messages” application.

Blocked Words List : The application also comes with a Blocked list containing 600 known SPAM keywords. The application also scans the SMS against these known SPAM keywords to detect a SPAM SMS. This list could be further customized to add new keywords or modify existing ones.

Abuse Detection : The application is also designed to protect you from the SMS that contains abusive or offensive words. If any such SMS is received, these will automatically be blacklisted and all alerts will be silenced for them.

Blocked Numbers list : If you are getting continuous message from any particular person or service , please add them to the Blocked numbers list. Any SMS from such numbers will automatically be blacklisted by the application.

Allowed Words list : This list allows you to whitelist certain SMS types based on keywords such as OTP (One time passwords). To ignore sms containing certain words like OTP, please add those words to this list.

Block all Unknown SMS : When this option is turned on, the application will block SMS from any number that is not in your contacts. Please note that the application still does not need access to your contacts. The iOS APIs let the application know automatically if the received SMS is an unknown SMS. Your private data is always safe. This is an optional feature and it could be turned on if required.

Note :
a) Starting iOS 14, if a sender is a registered iMessage user and not in your contacts, the iOS will consider this as a legitimate sms and will send it to “Unknown Senders” section and might will show you notification for them. In case you face such situation, please press on “Report Junk” link below such SMS.
b) SMS Spam Stopper is an extension. In order to enable this extension, please visit Settings - Messages - Unknown & Spam. On this page, please enable "Filter Unknown Senders" and "SMS Spam Stopper".
c) The default SPAM keywords are saved in the english language in the application. For other languages, required keywords could be added manually to the blocked words list of the application.
d) The SMS from any person whose number is saved in the phone's contacts will never be treated as spam.

- We have now added the option to Export and Import the database of the application. Using this option now the Allowed and Blocked lists could be backed up and restored easily to any iOS device.

Fantastic product an example of exemplary customer service

I have been getting so many texts from political organizations that I never even heard of lots scams about buying property lots of stuff that only takes time and junks up my iPhone. I was looking for an app that would help me cut down on all this text spam that’s coming through it seems that our government and the phone companies don’t wanna do anything to help us. All the spam seems to just get worse as time goes by. I tried this app and I have to admit I’m very impressed with it, if something gets through I could take a few of the words of choice words that was used to get my attention and add it to the list so I can’t happen again. I had some issues that had nothing to do with the app but my phone settings the customer service has been the best I’ve ever seen. usually I would hear back within five minutes. They really take an interest in helping their customers. For the three dollars I spent on this app as well worth every penny of it. I highly recommend it.

Very Useful App Developed By True Professionals

When I first downloaded this App I was disappointed because I could only remove the 600 blocked words that came with the App one at a time. I informed the Developer that removing these 600 words was too arduous for me. I wanted to populate the blocked word list for my own needs. In a matter of 2 days the Developer worked to revise the App to allow users to eliminate the predetermined 600 blocked word list in one step and create their own list from scratch. Users can still use the provided list and remove individual words if desired. So my 5 star rating recognizes both the usefulness of the App and the dedication the Developer has to it’s products and customers. I strongly recommend that anyone who is bothered by spam text messages use this App. Also check out other Apps offered by the Developer. Thank you for addressing my concern in a quick and professional manner.

10 Stars Are Not Enough!!!

The app works! It not only does what it says it should do, it does it well. But that’s not all. Support for this app has been better than any other I’ve had over the past 10 years I’ve been using an iPhone. Note that my reasons for contacting support were not for problems with the app, but rather questions about the app’s capabilities as well as requesting potential enhancements or upgrades.
I am not only grateful for what this app has done to reduce my SMS spam, I’m glad I’m using an app that is being overseen by those that would listen to users and continue to work to make it even better.
And. For the record. This was my first ever (that I recall) app review - and it was *SO* not solicited!
