Ratings and Reviews
For anyone my wanting to stay healthy and energetic
The photo feature is perfect for someone who finds typing on phones tedious. I photograph my meals and immediately see whether I'm meeting my nutritional needs - especially important now that my metabolism has changed. The text is large enough to read cọmfortably, which many apps overlook. What impressed me most was asking the AI coach about heart-healthy eating after my recent checkup. It explained how to increase omega-3s and reduce sodium in language I could understand, not medical jargon. It even noticed from my photos that I wasn't eating enough potassium-rich foods. Since starting this, I've discovered I was skipping too many meals and not getting adequate nutrition to support my daily walks and garden work. The app's insights helped me understand why I was feeling tired by afternoon. Now I'm more intentional about balanced eating.
Finally something that fits into my chaotic life!
Okay so I'm not one to write reviews but I HAD to share this because this app has been a total lifesaver for me. I'm a working mom with three kids (ages 6, 9, and 12) and finding time to track what I eat was basically impossible. I tried MyFitnessPal, Lose It, all the usual suspects, but who has time to sit there typing in "homemade spaghetti with meat sauce" and trying to figure out serving sizes when you're rushing between soccer practice and piano lessons? With Snap Cal I literally just take a quick photo while I'm eating (usually standing up in the kitchen lol) and BOOM - instant nutrition info. No typing, no searching, no measuring. It's honestly the first nutrition app that actually works with my real life instead of requiring me to cọmpletely change how I live.
Game changer for student athletes
yo this app is actually insane (in the best way) backstory: I'm a D2 soccer player and my coach has been on us about nutrition all season. problem is I live in the dorms and eat at dining halls mostly, plus I'm broke so I can't afford a nutritionist or meal delivery service like some of the D1 guys I know tried tracking my food the old school way but it was literally impossible. like how do you log "mystery meat stir fry from the cafeteria"??? spent more time trying to figure out what was in my food than actually eating it then my teammate showed me this app and it's been a total game changer. I can photograph my dining hall tray and get instant macros. FINALLY I can see if I'm actually hitting my protein goals (spoiler: I wasn't even close before)
