Ratings and Reviews
Excellent Idea, Poor Implementation
I really like the idea of having such app. However, the implementation is not good enough. For example, there is no need to sign up to use the app. Let us explore the app before we decide to use one of the guides. Also, the guides have no rating! It is so risky to pay for a guide that has no reviews! Moreover, why no search engine within the app? 😐
Not ready for prime time
Seems like a good idea, but the freebies are so limited, it would concern me about paying for a specific location. Even if I did want to buy, the paid locations are also extremely limited. Maybe given some time this will improve.

We're glad you think it's a good idea Maine-mike! We couldn't respond before, but hope you'll take a look again soon. We have added a number of guides to our collection since last May. We're just a small team of photographers and we like to work with others who share our views and ideals, so we take our time finding the right photographers to inspire our users, plus there's a lot of work that goes into one of these guides.
1. Not cool to require a full name and email just to try using the app. It even rejected an initial as last name.
2. Once I did get in the app and download the North America guide, it had only a couple locations in California and none near me on the east coast. Clearly needs a lot more time and work to build up some content. It is also clearly designed to charge for each new guide so there will be a lot of nickel and diming for info you can probably also find elsewhere.
So, the idea has potential, but I don't see how I can get any use it of it right now.

Hi J, Currently we do ask users to sign up to create a SNAPP Guides account, but we've taken note of your feedback. The free content is there to give an indication of how the guides work and we are working on building this. You're right that the idea is to purchase the guide you need for your trip/shoot. We feel the price of the guides reflects the level of detail, quality of images and useful content, all of which helps users get the shots they want in that location, plus rewards the author photographer for their photography. We've added more destinations since March 2016, so we hope you'll take a look, and we're always on the lookout for more SNAPP Pros to join us to create guides.
