Good so far.. needs time
On first impressions I think the interface is pretty good and easy to use but it being fairly new there’s not a whole lot of traffic causing prices to not be as competitive as other apps. So you can get a good idea I will compare it to StockX and Goat and let you know of the pros, cons and similarities it has with the both of them
Pros: You can purchase and sell used sneakers unlike StockX. In addition the feature with news about sneakers and information on sneakercon events is a nice feature built in to the app.
Neutral: Both have authentication processes to insure safety for parties on both sides of the transaction process
Cons: Less competitive prices for buyers than StockX. The browse and filter options are not as specific as stock X. The interface is not as nice either it is a little more complicated to discover new shoes you may not have known about. Also no option to see passed purchases on app... StockX’s stock market feel really is #1 in my opinion.
Pros: I believe it has a nicer interface than Goat but just a little bit
Neutral: Both have authentication processes and the ability to purchase and sell used sneakers as well as dead-stock pairs
Cons: Less competitive prices at the moment. Goat has more picture options to view of the shoe in the purchase section with dead stock shoes.
Hope this helped anybody.. I believe as the app grows in popularity it will become a better contender with the others.
Developer Response ,
Appreciate the feedback. We have a lot of innovative features and improvements in the works. Stay tuned.
Has been great so far but I know I sell 100% authentic pairs
I have sold a few pairs of shoes and even caught one with 0% fees during a promotion. I copped for the first time and am waiting for the shoe to come. The seller has more than 5 business days to ship which is a bit long. I honestly don’t mind it as long as they are the best at authenticating shoes and have the lowest number of fakes ship to buyers and have the highest % in catching shoes when it comes to only shipping out a 100% authentic shoe purchased from the brand directly or from foot sites. I have an idea, I feel like on any shoe platform if the shoe is fake it gets documented and burned to ashes (like 25% of Stocks xs inventory) and the person who sold it after 2 offenses has to pay 50% to the buyer for wasting their time and money. Also, be put in blast on ALL shoe platforms, so the community can finally purge fakes. Using RFID chips unique from the brand or a third part or something eventually.... there just has to be a way to purge the fakes out of the market and inventory even though that would kill a lot of the reselling groups right now and the industry could pretty much implode because there are so many fakes but I rather do that than keep ignoring that there are more fake pairs floating around than real pairs floating around with hype pairs and most people know it and ignore it.
No more StockX for me...
Prices might be a little better on StockEx because of lowballing but I find usually after the hidden fees are tagged on to the price at the end Sneaker Con is cheaper or at least the same. I love the fact that it’s usually only like $20 extra than the listed price including taxes and everything (I am aware taxes vary depending on the price of your item LOL ) I purchased a pair of shoes on August 10 from STOCKX and on September 2 I finally received an email explaining to me that they canceled my order after weeks of trying to find out what happened with my $1800 purchase someone finally got back to me with that great news. I had recently bought two pairs of shoes from Sneaker Con for the first time in August and immediately went back to Sneaker Con to buy this pair that StockEx canceled on me more than three weeks after my purchase. I’m happy to say that sneaker con took a third of the time to get them shipped to them for authentication and to me for final delivery. I highly recommend
