Capture a selection of your screen, a selected window, your full screen or all of your screens with a single click!
Set a delay or trigger the screenshot immediately.
Edit your snips:
• mark with pen
• mark with highlighter
• add text notes
• add stickers
• flip
• rotate
• save (as .png. .jpg or .pdf) or share
• automatically copy to clipboard
• print your screenshots on paper
• reload any of your past snips
(up to 3 most recent snips that are saved solely on your mac. Only you can see any of your snips.)
You now have even more control over how you snip:
• add shadows for pen marking
• set default colors for Highlighter and Pen
• adjust the Highlighter's opacity
• automatically launch Snip My on startup.
Supported keyboard shortcuts: cmd+c to copy your current edits to clipboard.
New keyboard shortcuts (PRO version):
• cmd + 1 or option + r to trigger the Rectangular Snip
• cmd + 2 or option + w to trigger the Window Snip
• cmd + 3 or option + e to trigger the Entire Screen Snip
• cmd + 4 or option + a to trigger the All Displays Snip
These shortcuts are global, meaning they available even when Snip My has no windows displayed.

Mostly good, wish there was a keyboard shortcut
When you get the screenshot you need, it's nice to be able to add text, highlights, etc. However (and it's a big however), because the act of taking a snip requires your mouse to click the trigger, it is very hard to accurately capture hover states in your snips. Perhaps the Delay feature is supposed to accommodate these cases, but the delay tool is spotty and confusing and never seems to work quite like I am expecting it to, I just really, really wish there was a keyboard way to activate a new snip.
Pretty close to MS Snipping Tool
You need the $2 upgrade to get the markup tools. BUT, you need an additional $8 to get undo! Really they could have included undo in the $2 package. It is way too easy to miss the target with the highlighting tool, so including Undo with the highlighting option seems like a natural package deal.
The only feature it's missing from the MS Snipping Tool in windows is the ruler, which allows you to extremely easily make straight lines with the highlighting marker tool.
Otherwise, it's a good tool, but $10 for the full package when it's included with Windows makes me sad.
General functionality good, side things can use some tweaking
The overally functionliaty of the tool is good. It is easy and intuitive. The only reason I am not giving it a higher rating is because of a couple of other things that are frankly annoying, especially from a paid version. Specifically, I shouldn't be prompted to provide a review over and over again, and the skip doesn't really even work for it. Also, I upgraded to a paid version so I can have the undo option, but...every time I use that function, it prompts me to upgrade to use it...and shows I have already upgraded. So I have to try several times just to get it to work.
