So far this app is garbage. I created an account (which you have to do online as there’s no option to do so on the app), and then tried to link my tv provider (which is a hidden step as they try to get you to pay for the service right after you create an account). After I tried to link my tv provider it tells me my tv provider account is already being used for another sportsnet account…which it’s not. I reached out to customer service but judging by the other reviews here I’m not sure it’s even worth the hassle. Truly aggravating that sportsnet isn’t available on the xfinity stream app since they want you to use their own useless app instead.

I love the app I just have one huge problem

I have been using the app for pirates season so far and it’s been ok. But I take frequent trips outside of Pennsylvania and I can’t access live feed of the games when I’m gone. I don’t feel like it’s worth the 18$ a month if I can’t watch wherever I go. It’s 2024 and I don’t understand why that is a thing. That’s why people illegally stream in Pittsburgh because SportsNet has been a problem before there was even an app because you can’t go through nhl or mlb to watch the games only SNP. I will not continue my subscription if this isn’t changed.

I signed in using my cable provider. There is no live stream option. Also if you're using your network like Verizon or AT&T, forget it it won't let you watch. You can only watch if you're on Wi-Fi in your own house which defeats the purpose because you have a television set why would you wanna watch it on your phone if you could watch it on your TV. This upgraded app is worse than before. That is why I gave it a one star rating if there was a way to make it zero stars I would. The developers should say on their TV commercial only works if you live in Pittsburgh or near Pittsburgh and you can only use it on Wi-Fi and on cellular network.
