My addiction/disease took me on a 30 year journey of really high ups and the lowest of lows. On April 19, 2025 at 8:33 PM I put down my last shot and then my last hit that I’ll ever have in my life and called my mother to bring me to the hospital or I was going to die. I died that night twice in front of her at the hospital and had a toe amputated 3 days later. I had lost 94lbs in 7months and in her own words was “unrecognizable “! When I woke up from surgery I grabbed my iPad that I had and looked up rehabs right away and then installed this app. Without this app, AA, rehab, coming in the form of Green Mountain Treatment Center, and the unconditional love of a mother to her oldest son I would not be here today writing this. I am currently staying at the Freemen House for men in Dover NH and just got my 6 month coin the other day. I completed my rehab August 21st of this past year and went from rehab right to prison in the same day, which in itself was a blessing most likely, and I say that because I was riding high on that “pink cloud” as it’s referred to and even though I was only in prison for 2 months , it was a reminder on what my life looked like or could still look like if it wasn’t for sobriety. So stay connected and really utilize this app because you’re worth it , and I’m proof that if I can do it so can you. God bless and always keep fighting the good fight even if it knocks you down.
Loving sober sidekick!

I just recently learned of this app being available when researching relapse prevention plan in order to create one and to hopefully find some printable worksheets to do in which we’re recovery related. I came across the app and started reading on it. I was so excited to hear that there was support 24/7. The fact that there was media based support and feedback interested me as well. I downloaded the app and set up my profile right away. It was very easy to do and I was immediately connected into recovery by sharing and supporting. I absolutely loved this and I’ve been checking my profile numerous times through the day. I just recently relapsed and have been feeling pretty down, lonely, and disappointed in myself. My guilt and shame seemed to be holding me in a bad and negative space and nothing seemed to be pulling me out of it. This is a scary place to be bc guilt and shame can most definitely keep you sick. Then I began opening up and making post alongside encouraging others with their recovery. After a couple days I noticed I was really into the app and had actually been spending a lot of time on it and checking in on my profile numerous times a day. I was enjoying looking at what others were saying to me specifically. I then realized that having the support right from my phone had improved my overall attitude and status. I felt uplifted and not so down. I am new to the app, but very eager to continue getting familiar with. So far it’s been great and I can see a major difference in just a couple of days in joining! I’m going to keep using as I know it will continue to assist my recovery! Recommend it to anyone struggling with addiction for sure!
Best app to help get Sober

I came across Sober Sidekick day one of my sobriety. Right away I was able to see the benefits from it by having people’s stories available instantly to inspire me to make the right choice when needed. Most importantly, after 10 days, I hit the wrong button at some point which caused and issue for me to see people’s stories. I sent a message asking for help and with in 2 hours, Chris the owner reached out to me right away, confirmed the mistake I made on the app, and easily fixed it. The service received was beyond my expectations!!! Chris even contacted me by phone to make sure all was good with the app. Chris wanted to make sure I had the app working and available when I needed it. Chris even took a moment while he had me on the phone to check in and ask how am I doing with sobriety. He didn’t have to but he did, and I could tell he asked because he truly cares. The team that handles this app demonstrated to me that they TRULY CARE about me and my sobriety. Not sure another app would provide that type of service. Thank you Sidekick n I am Blessed to have this tool to keep me on the straight and narrow!!!! You need it too if you want to stay sober. It works!
Total Life Changer

This App changed my life - without a doubt. When I knew I needed to make a change and get sober I was ready as I was ever going to be except I had no clue where to start. With the world being so digital, I picked up my phone and started looking up the best Apps for sobriety. I downloaded about 5 that night. I quickly deleted the ones that just weren’t what I needed. As soon as I started watching the conversations and how it worked, I knew I had found Support. It was the first glimpse of hope I had. I used the “Talk to Someone Now” feature and was immediately connected with someone who helped me find the right Recovery Center for me to get treatment. Because of Sober Sidekick, this extremely daunting and scary decision of mine became so easy and there was someone there by my side the whole time. I completed an IOP program and am 515 days sober today. Without Sober Sidekick I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this. When you don’t know where to turn, who to reach out to, what friends or family to talk to at 3am when you’re struggling…..you have hope and a family all within this App. 🩵
