So far it seems to be helping
I just downloaded this and was using it with my asbergers student and she seemed to be engaged and getting a lot from it.

Engaging app for clients of various ages. Reinforcing concepts, vocabulary with examples of various scenarios. Leads to valuable discussion. Clients enjoy program and talking about the expected and unexpected behaviors. Often they will disagree, great for promoting discussion and thinking. I like that there is repetition of a scenario if client is unsure as well as positive reinforcement at set intervals. Clients are excited when they can move on. Great tool to use with the book You Are a Social Detective by Michelle Garcia Winner. One of my younger students had a hard time when made a mistake and wanted to start over. Perhaps program could have reinforced its ok to make a mistake...we are learning to be social detectives. Great app, most useful tool.
This app is extremely dated. The video clips look old, and the children featured in the clips could stand to be more diverse. I work with primarily African-American students, so I find it troubling that the only person of color featured in the initial segment (16 video clips) of the app is an African-American tween male engaged in arguably the most overt "unexpected" behavior of all the children featured in the video clips within that segment. Perhaps I'm being too sensitive, but it strikes me as a subtle perpetuation of racial stereotypes. Besides that, it is definitely way overpriced for the quality of the app due to poor video and audio quality; perhaps the book is a better investment.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
