Ratings and Reviews
I love this app!
It’s nice to have so many tools right at my fingertips. I alert friends of warnings and noticed a correlation between solar activity and earthquake/volcanic activity. May be just coincidence, but it’s got me thinking! I live near the New Madrid fault line that I’ve heard could pop any time since I was in the university! It’s fine with me if it waits another hundred years, lol. I do get prepared on alert days just in case. I have my solar panel for my camper in a protected place underground. While not a full faraday cage I’m hoping that in its case and inside cardboard and padding, and between the washer and dryer it will keep protected underground. The unplugged microwave works for small items like cell phone and gps as long as the towers and satellites are up and running. The pictures of auroras alone is reason enough to get this app! I do wish they’d zoom out on more of the Solar images so I can see our whole star, but I know you can’t control how they set the cameras. That flare that got two satellites on the night side of earth was a wake up call for me...thank you for this app!
Developer Response ,
Thanks for your review, Solar Alert is available exclusively for Apple IOS devices for its innovation capacity, security and unmatched user experience. Advise your friends to acquire an Apple IOS device, this will be one of the best decisions that they can make.
Nice app, with solid information. The alerts are nice and the map of solar impact is okay. I’d like to see a bit easier to navigate layout with better, more detailed links to information. It took me a bit to get used to where everything was at but after that it has been smooth sailing. I would recommend this app for those interested in solar activity and being able to monitor behaviors of electronics and humans from solar events.
updated review - ty ty this app is a lifesaver for me
the app is working again! wonderful. i really appreciate this app - the presentation is excellent compared to websites. I use this regularly for health reasons so it is a handy app to have not only for electronics and spotting northern lights but for those of us with fatigue. I can’t give 5 stars because they are so difficult to reach for customer support. their website has lots of information and an email address but no live links for help and no reply back to repeated attempts to email. i am maintaining my subscription because it really is a great app. ironically they just need improved communication between customer an developer.

Appreciated "swd64", we thank you for your review because although it has been done with a hard criticism, you have indicated that our work with Solar Alert has quality, although today sporadically it has not seemed to you, let us explain what has happened:
Due to an external error to Solar Alert, caused by one of the external sources of solar data that collaborate with us, yesterday November 8, 2018 we detected a small anomaly in the operation of Solar Alert. This anomaly only lasted a few minutes and only affected the local functions of some of the Apple iOS devices that at that time were manually checking the solar forecast, although it is important to note that this anomaly has only lasted a few minutes.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that in this short interval of time, all our subscribers have always been protected thanks to the fact that Solar Alert's redundant alert system has worked correctly, i.e. solar alerts have been sent with accuracy and precision when necessary by the Solar Alert automatic system, which works remotely to Apple iOS devices on our protected servers, and this is because the alert system is designed so that no external event affects the ability of all our subscribers to be alerted and protected.
We are working so that the next version of Solar Alert for Apple iOS devices (which will be available next week), is able to act intelligently even though external conditions are not the best for its proper functioning, such as instability in external data sources from NASA and NOAA, and others, although I reiterate, it is impossible that solar alerts fail because they are sent directly from our protected remote servers, which are monitored continuously and every day 24/7.
Please reconsider the reactivation of your Solar Alert subscription, the quality and reliability of the uninterrupted protection service provided to our subscribers over 7 years ago, and the hundreds of positive reviews we have received and continue to receive every day guarantee the quality of our work. The Solar Alert team has the complete assurance that the early alert sent to our subscribers on the day of the arrival of the big solar event, will undoubtedly save your life and your entire family, this is our main objective, and this is our main motivation to work hard to improve Solar Alert every day.
We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you. We work continuously to improve our service. We appreciate your understanding and support. Our mission is to protect thousands of people from the expected extreme solar event and only with the support of our subscribers can we achieve it.
If you have any other issues that we need to resolve or have any questions about our protection service, please contact us through the help and feedback system available within the App itself. We will be happy to help you. We are at your disposal. Thank you for your feedback.
