Another Great Game by Haiku

I’ve played all the Adventure Escape games, and I’ve been looking forwards to playing Solve It from the moment I heard about it. I finished the game, and I liked it even more than I expected!
Solve It is different from Adventure Escape because there are not puzzles or mini games; instead, the mystery unfolds through observation and conversations with other characters. I understand why it is called a virtual novel.
At first, I wondered whether this would be like other story apps that require money for all important or interesting choices, but this was not the case. Very few choices required coins, and even though I chose not to spend coins at all, I never felt like I was missing a necessary or important part of the story. Story apps by other creators often require a very long wait to unlock a short part of the story, and I have deleted apps for that reason; however, I thought that the waiting time for keys in this game was very reasonable. I also like how there is the option to replay the story and make different choices.
Mystery lovers, like myself, will enjoy this app, and I really hope the developers make another Solve It app in the future, and I am excited to download whatever Haiku creates next.
Great job creating this awesome app!

Best mystery game app!

I love this game! It kept me interested from the start all the way to the end. It was challenging, but not frustrating, and it felt like the choices I made really did matter. I’ve played a ton of choose your adventure app games and it’s really rare to find one that 1. isn’t all about romance, and 2. is actually playable completely for free! Throughout the game, I think there were only 4 opportunities to use coins to make a special choice, and while these choices were cool, they didn’t seem to be necessary to solving the case.
Also there were no pop up ads or anything, which is very refreshing after so many other games which have ad after ad after ad. One thing that might have been nice would be the option to watch an ad to get coins or keys, but I didn’t pay anything through the whole game and it didn’t feel necessary so I’m not complaining.
The plot of the game was fascinating and the graphics and design were really cool to look at! (By the way, is it just me, or does Herschel look like Nam Joo Hyuk?) Anyway, I would highly recommend this game! I look forward to playing the next ones in the series.

Fun Novel.

I have played and enjoyed many of the Haiku games (all of which were the puzzle oriented one). Therefore, this series I was unsure of since it wasn’t like their normal game style. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the novels were made. I have looked at other reviews that comment on the negative aspects of these kinds of games: having to purchase coins, waiting for keys to unlock the next section, picking a word choice and then regretting it instantly. These are all certainly irritating side affects of visual novels. However, Haiku games allows the player to work around said annoyances. To avoid spending excessively with real money, you can play through the game multiple times and continue to reap coins to buy that extra scene. Wait time is half an hour, which to be fair isn’t a very long time. I found it rather the perfect time increment to go finish something else before returning to the game. Over all, this game was and still is a very fun game to play through because I didn’t have to worry about missing out something (a common occurrence with other visual novels).
