Works, but takes some tinkering…..

I want to start off by saying that this app helped me clear out thousands of duplicates, helped me rename songs, and helped me weed out missing songs and such. So, it did what I wanted it to, for the most part. The thing is that it isn't just like scan your library and walk away. You have to tweak some permissions for the program to work correctly or else it will keep telling you it can't delete the file because of said permission problems. I had to personally delete all of my playlist just to get the app to work correctly. All in all, after about two hours of trying to get everything up and running it finally did its job and my library was pretty much sqeeky clean. That is, after two hours, about ten scans, changing the persmissions, and deleting my playlist so the program could work as advertised. I would not reccommend buying this app unless you have both money and time to waste, and a really, really messy library.

Serious Bugs in sofware - be careful

There are some serious bugs in the software. it tries to rename items based on some flawed logic that ends up splitting music across MULTIPLE entries of the artist in the Apple Music. For example i now have the Adele 21 album split up across 3 enteries for Adele. Same thinkg for Linkin Park. they were not split before.

It also repeatedly says music is missing yet when you click on the Show in Finder for the music the file is clearly there and can be played.

the de-duplication feature is EXCEEDLINGLY DANGEROUS as it is based solely on filename/song name. So it does not take into different versions of the song live BIlly Joel's Greatest Hits Vol I, II, and III versions of songs (which are studio recordings) vs. his live performances at Shea Stadium

Basically this software DOES NOT WORK as advertised and will ruin your music library. luckily i made a tar backup of the Music directory before i started

i wasted $20.

Finding duplicates where you pick the bit rate and format you want!

There are very few apps, if any, that do what this app does for your Itunes music collection. You specify your favorite format and the bitrate you want in your collection. So if it searches and find "Eleanor Rigby" in 128Kbs, 256Kbs, and 320Kbs, you can say I prefer 256Kbs and all of the other "Eleanor Rigby" files are duplicates. Or you can just say keep the highest bitrate. Plus you can say, I favor .m4a over .mp3 and it will take that into account too. It's tough to find music software that searches for duplicates with diffeent bitrates and formats taken into account. It will also optionally consider song length, album title, etc. So if it finds "Eleanor Rigby" on two different albums and I tell it to only find duplicates within the same album, it will keep one copy of the song for each album.

The only thing I would change is to let it work directly against your files. It should't have to be in loaded into Itunes. I would also like to see Flac support if it goes directly against the files.

Great Product!!!
