Hi, I’m H, the developer.

Songpocket is a music player that lets you organize your music manually.

It works with music you’ve added from Apple Music, or synced from your computer.

(It’s also VoiceOver-accessible.)

In Songpocket, you can …
• Reorder artists, albums, and songs.
• Move albums into customizable collections.

That lets you personalize your music collection, like you can with physical music.

Try it out—I hope you like it as much as I do!

What’s New

Version 1.3.1

• Sped up reflecting changes in your Music library to be 3× as fast.

If Songpocket ever froze temporarily when you opened it, this update reduces that.

• Sped up loading your Music library for the first time to be 7.5× as fast.

• Added a “Loading…” indicator when loading your Music library in certain conditions.

• Put sort options in a modern menu on iOS 14.

• Disabled autocorrect for collection titles.

• Improved Voice Control support.

• Added Smart Invert support.

• Improved miscellaneous details in the songs view and the Options screen.

Thanks for reading! While you’re here, can you help Songpocket by giving it a star rating? It makes the app page look better.

Just tap on these release notes, then scroll down. Thanks again!

Useful music organization app

Finally a nice little music app allowing manual sorting is here — useful for rearranging stuff by a foreign language sorting order.

However it would be nice for the collections screen to show some album covers, sometimes I can’t read the artist’s foreign name and having a small thumbnail would definitely help.

Developer Response ,

Thanks! Glad you find Songpocket useful.

I’m disinclined to add album thumbnails to collection rows, because I think I would dislike that, personally. I am open to it though.

Wish it worked.

Great idea but won’t play the music.

Developer Response ,

Sorry about that! Can I ask you some questions to see what’s causing this? What happens after you tap on a song and then “Play Album Starting Here”? And have you either downloaded the song, connected to Wi-Fi, or enabled streaming over cellular data for the Music app?

Please email me at, and I’ll investigate it!
