Description
One of the treasures of world literature and masterpieces of English lyric poetry, written and illustrated by the British engraver, painter, and poet William Blake (1757-1827).
Generally neglected during his lifetime and even regarded mad by contemporaries for his idiosyncratic views, Blake is now considered the earliest and most original of the Romantic Age artists.
“Songs of Innocence”: published in 1789, the first demonstration of Blake's Illuminated Books.
“Songs of Innocence and of Experience”: published in 1794, a rearranged version of Songs of Innocence with the addition of Songs of Experience.
This App contains the complete plates of “Songs of Innocence” (31 plates, Copy G, Yale Center for British Art) and “Songs of Innocence and of Experience” (54 plates, Copy L, Yale Center for British Art) along with transcribed text.

Nice app of Blake's book
Loved the way the pages got bigger if I zoomed in, and if I turned my iPad one way I could read Blake's original page, or turned another way a typed version showed up along side. My only complaint is that all I could find is the Innocence and not the Experience. All I would add is a table of contents. Hope the poems of Experience is added soon
