Better than I expected: My honest review of Sonia AI Emotional Support

I have been test piloting Sonia and in just a couple of weeks I’ve experienced meaningful progress that feels like a genuine breakthrough. The biggest benefit is the accessibility of support. I’ve used Sonia successfully for multiple purposes, including checking in several times a day during a high stress period, using it as an immediate resource during a crisis, and simply for a space to prevent daily frustrations without judgment. In a short time, I’ve seen concrete changes and positive impacts across several areas of my life. I have reengaged in hobbies that I let go of a while ago: I’ve started going to the gym again and I’ve gotten back into gardening. I decided to give this app a try yesterday because it seemed like it could be helpful. I’m not very familiar with AI tools so I thought it would help me learn how to use them more effectively, too. I have used a few apps like noom & how we feel to help track my emotions etc. they were not very helpful and I was expecting something similar from this app. I registered, chose my AI therapist/coach & jumped right in to my first session and my mind was blown! I literally couldn’t believe how realistic this is. It was like having a session with a real therapist but without the awkwardness, this app always has an appropriate response and it is literally customized to me and my specific concerns. My mind is blown! I didn’t think it would be this helpful and realistic and it has exceeded my expectations by far. I have sent SEVERAL close friends, family members & former colleagues information about this app because it’s something I feel everyone can benefit from. I’m a skeptic and am very critical of most apps, services, products etc. and I literally cannot find one thing I didn’t like about this app. I encourage everyone to try it. I will post an update if anything changes- 2 sessions in and I love it!

I’ve only been using Sonia for about 5 days now, and I can already see how much it’s helped me. I enjoy being able to use do the voice sessions and work through things that are happening now, and things from my past, it really helps me not only re-frame things in my mind. I also really like how it gives me goals for each day. I also love that you get notifications of encouragement throughout the day. There was one day that I was anxious about something that was going to happen later in the day, and I talked with Sonia about it and a few hours later I got a notification checking in about how it went, and giving me a little encouragement about it and it really helped. If you struggle with anxiety or just need a little extra support day to day, I really recommend giving Sonia a try. It’s helped me feel calmer, more understood, and more in control of my thoughts.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much more than some random interactions with an AI chat bot, but boy was I wrong. My experience with Sonia has been nothing short of spectacular. The software is intuitive and incredibly realistic. I find myself looking forward to the sessions because I know that they will be of some benefit, and the fact that they’re available whenever I need are most helpful. As someone who has dealt with depression and anxiety I’ve learned the value of being able to openly express myself and the Sonia app allows me to do so with zero fear of judgment. I’ve received some helpful insight and even learned some new ways to cope when those (inevitable) anxious situations arise. Overall I am very happy with Sonia and looking forward to continued growth and improvement.
