This is the perfect app for the best sounding speakers on the market. Hands down. A few years ago they pushed everyone into upgrading their system to the S2 app. Huge mistake. Nothing but issues and glitches ever since, but luckily I was able to downgrade my system back to this app, and it works flawlessly as before. I really can’t understand why they ever changed it since this app functions flawlessly.

  • Unbelievable Customer Support!

I recently ran into issues with my 15 year old Play 5. Tech support worked with me to update my unit, work thru network issues & get me back to enjoying my jams while I work. You are getting so much more than an awesome product; you have the incredible value of a company that stands behind their product & customer service. I’ll be a customer for life!

  • Liquid Glass UI needs adjustment

I love this app for years and still my daily driver for 8 S1 Sonos devices at home. I loved the new Liquid Glass menu design deployed recently but the selected options are highlighted in white, which is very hard to see. It would be a million times better if the selected menu option in default blue or any other contrasting color. Thanks Sonos for keeping this app alive!

  • Sonos is awesome!

Absolutely love Sonos. Living in a house that was built before sound systems were installed I had always wanted a house system. Sonos gives me that pleasure without construction. I recently moved. I am 100% tech illiterate. I called the 800 # and through a patient operator was able to restore all 4 of my speakers in the new house with a new wifi system. I am so grateful. I NEED my music!

  • Used to be much better

This was a decent app but then you split S1 and S2 and now it’s all messed up. And whoever is stuck with this app is hurting more. It takes forever to load the status and show devices. I had to re-register ALL my devices multiple times which is a major pain especially when you have both S1 and S2 devices on your network and there’s close to 20 of them! I cannot believe that for almost 3 years now the selected screen icon is invisible if you use the light theme! It looks like QA is either blind or only testing with dark theme. Same goes for developers. This used to work fine and is working fine in S2. You cannot miss it as whichever tab you select that icon will be missing so you will notice it as soon as you launch the app! S2 app is not much better either but is in the primary focus so it’s getting more changes. But both had serious issues and are suffering from the same flaws. And I don’t understand inconsistency between the two - like S1 is made by one company and S2 by another. But the biggest issue is for having to deal with these 2 in the first place and for having to keep bunch of S2 compatible devices on S1 just so I can control them together with other S1 ones. I get that they don’t support new features but don’t buy that you cannot play the same music on S1 and S2 at the same time, one with extra features and the other without. Yes, it would take some time to develop such functionality but it is feasible. Apparently Sonos doesn’t care about loyal customers if they are not constantly buying new devices or subscribing to services. So if you invested thousands dollars into Sonos you will have to responsibly throw away half of it to be recycled and then spend 50% more on what you already spent on them to buy similar devices and get <10% new features 🤔

  • Doesn’t work anymore

    Chili_Dawg

I have 3 play 1 and play base. For 7years had no issues. App was snappy and songs played very quickly after picking. Now, I get errors when trying to play sources I have had for years, the play one that is not part of the surround system takes forever to recognize the selected song and when it does it doesn’t have any audio, but the track timing is counting. Factory reset router, app, speakers and still don’t work anymore. Service couldn’t help. Time to move on to a new ecosystem.
