Lost data

I was using Sookasa as a platform for storing important HIPAA compliant patient health information. Aside from the difficulties with updating to newer operating systems, it worked well for my needs. However, I recently went to check some of those records and discovered that all my files had been erased!! And because I rarely checked those files there was apparently nothing that could be done to retrieve the files. I don’t know how to explain what happened, but since I was the only one with access and I had not personally made changes to the files, I assume it had something to do with Sookasa not working appropriately. Customer support was initially helpful but then they stopped responding when I requested my money back, which I figured was the least they could do after losing all my patient files. So be warned if you have critical data to store!!

Does not work on IPhone 11

Had this app version on IPhone 6 on IOS 12.X and it worked. IPhone 11 does not work on IOS 13.X.

App crashes when loading files. Seeing other reviews this is a problem for 1-2 years which is a big yikes!

Last year I reported a bug on the PC app with it not maintaining unlocked state and support said I didn’t have a paid account to help me. I didn’t want help I had my work around; I simply was reporting step by step how to reproduce the bug so they can fix their software. It went without a response which is fine. It’s their income not mine. I get a sense this is an mismanaged offshore operation with disconnect between the company and support. Management probably has no clue how dysfunctional and neglected this app is.

I used to love Sookasa

As a healthcare provider who needs to encrypt patient data kept in the cloud, I used to adore Sookasa. It was seamless to upload my documents, then view them on my iPhone or iPad as needed. But ever since the update to iOS 12, the Sookasa apps have been completely useless. When I’ve written in to customer support to ask when the app would be updated (which I’ve done several times now), all I hear back is that the Sookasa apps aren’t iOS 12 compatible and that there’s no release date available for the app to be updated. Now we’re approaching iOS 13, and I wonder if the Sookasa app will ever work again. I’m officially on the hunt for a replacement.
