Use your laptop

Where is the read to me function?? I downloaded the app to listen to the textbook on my phone for mobility but the app really lacks functionality. I am better of lugging my laptop around.

The read-to-me feature is one we're hoping to release in the future. In the meantime, I recommend using the Spoken Content feature that is built into iOS. If you need help using that, reach out to us at We're here to help!

Fix expeditiously

My app wasn’t working so I deleted to download it again. Only to find out it is now a different app. So I have the old app in my phone and the new one in my iPad and thank God I didn’t delete the old one yet because I NEEEEEEEEED the “read to me” option which is NOT available in the new app. I don’t like it at all. That is how I got my work done. I can’t always have my laptop to read it to me on the webtext and my phone is distracting which is why I used my iPad. I’m being a little animated here but seriously, work on this asap please. I do not have the blessing of being able to concentrate while reading. I end up reading the same sentence 100 times. I need that “read to me” option.

Thanks for your feedback! That's a feature we're working on and I'll share your comments with our team so they know students are excited to use it.

Slow and outdated

For the amount of money that they charge for textbooks you would expect more than a pdf with a couple videos. The app interface is slow and not visually pleasing. There is no way to highlight important text or bookmark a certain page. No option for text to speech so you can hear it while taking notes. Overall just a crappy pdf it would be easier to just download as a pdf and be able to access on a more versatile app.

Highlighting and text to speech are features we're hoping to release in the future. I'll share your comments with our team so they know students are excited to use them!
