Sound Bar Remote 4+

I love my Yamaha sound bar but the little remote has always been crap. I have to get up and stand right on top of it to change the inputs and control the volume. This app just changed all of that. It instantly connected to my sound bar and I can control everything easily without having to get up now. Not sure why I never thought about looking for an app to fix this earlier. Maybe the bad reviewers don’t have compatible sound bars or there have been some updates.

I really like being able to visually see the current settings that are applied to the soundbar. This makes this soundbar better than comparable models from Sony and Vizio. I also like having icons in the app for different settings because it makes it easy to find what you’re looking for. One thing that can be improved though is the volume slider. Instead of using a traditional slider for the interface control, I would prefer a fatter version like iOS uses for volume control in Control Center. The small slider in the app right now seems like it is too small and makes it feel fiddly. If the volume slider was as fat as the one in Control Center then I could use my thumb to select the volume level. When you use your thumb you don’t want to have to worry about the precision of grabbing the slider handle.

As advertised! My physical remote stop working. Added new battery and nothing. Upon my research about the remote or a fix, this app came up. Thank you, app works as advertised and I appreciate the visualization.
