Sound Rebound is an offbeat experience of color and sound that invites you to create ricochets, bounces, or bumps to investigate seeing and hearing.
Imagine yourself inside a fluid world of 2-D shapes and design. What does it look and sound like? That’s up to you. Sound Rebound is a creative space for you to build mesmerizing interactions, dynamic collages, or whatever comes to mind. Orchestrate bounces and bumps and explore the color of sound.
Easy to learn
Surprisingly difficult to put down
Sound Rebound was created by the Exploratorium, a public learning laboratory exploring the world through science, art, and human perception. Our mission is to create inquiry-based experiences that transform learning worldwide. Our vision is a world where people think for themselves and can confidently ask questions, question answers, and understand the world around them. We value lifelong learning and teaching, curiosity and inquiry, our community, iteration and evidence, integrity and authenticity, sustainability, and inclusion and respect.
We create tools and experiences that help you to become an active explorer.
Here's what's new with this update:
--Two new sound sets can be found in the top right menu: chimes & voice

Ratings and Reviews
It's ok but...
There are a lot bugs and glitches. Everything else is fine. Just plz fix the bug problem
First, others have said buggy but their reviews were written (I believe) before the last update, so let me clarify that we have been playing for a full week on both the latest iPad Pro and a first generation iPad mini and have not had a single problem.
This is one of the most absorbing app experiences we have enjoyed in a while, and I love the cause/effect of the play. It encourages the question of, “what if,” which is its best attribute for exploring. It equally entertained a five year old and a 30 year old, and helped create interesting conversations! Bonus points: it also served as a nice stress-buster.
Like all of Exploratorium creations this one is really fun, entertaining, and intellectually stimulating!
Thanks again for keeping us entertained with apps that demonstrate the physics of our world.
