A playful way to record and mix the sounds around you. Easy to use and great for both kids and adults.

SoundBlocks allows you to record different audio clips and then alter and combine them into new sounds.

Imagine a recording studio built out of brightly colored children's blocks. Sound and music are blocks of color. Alter the sounds by stretching the blocks. Drag the blocks into different configurations and build a soundscape out of colors.

This is the concept behind SoundBlocks. It is a simple and intuitive way to record, manipulate and combine audio clips.

Recording sounds is simple, hold down the record button and when you are finished, the clip is shown as a colored block. Stretch or squeeze the block to change it's pitch. Compress or expand it, to add different distortion effects.

Create another block. Now you can combine the blocks into sequences by dragging the blocks into the tracks at the bottom of the screen.
Blocks added to the 3rd track will repeat, try using this as a rhythm component. Once you've finished your masterpiece you can export the wav file and send it off to the world.
