What’s New

Version 5

This is a major app update. This new installation will overwrite garden data from the previous version of the app. To retain your current planted garden data, we recommend making notes of current crop names and planting dates and manually reentering the data after the update is installed.

This update includes planting data from the University of Kentucky, the ability to create multiple gardens, and a journal function to keep track of previously harvested crops, to name a few.

I want to love this app...but

I really do want to love it. But I don’t have access to add crops that aren’t “recommended” such as pineberry, for example, or even the herbs that I plant. Also, the app keeps “forgetting” that I’ve previously logged in, so therefore, any crops planted are gone. I have to keep a hard copy to remember when they were planted.
Please help by fixing these issues so I can give it the five stars I want to.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the SOW app for planting dates for my vegetable garden!! It can be used throughout Alabama for determining planting dates of both vegetables and fruits by simply selecting your county. This app uses science instead if old sayings. I have recommended it to several people and will continue to do. It also has other useful aides like asking an expert, gardening basics, and an app tutorial.

Needs improvement but will use as a reference.

Need to be able to add notes to crops already planted . Also alerts and notifications on upcoming harvest dates or when to fertilize or even when new crops become available . would be good. Also won’t let me add some crops to my garden crashes occasionally.
