Version 1.1 adds two major new guides that turn SowAtlas into a complete offline gardening advisor: Pest & Disease Guide — 23 detailed entries covering the most common vegetable garden threats: aphids, hornworms, squash vine borers, spider mites, powdery mildew, early and late blight, fusarium wilt, slugs, deer, and more. Each entry shows symptoms to look for, organic treatment steps, prevention practices, and an identification tip. Filter by category (Insects, Fungal, Viral, Bacterial, Mollusks, Mammals, Nutritional) or search by pest name or affected crop. Crop detail pages now surface a Pest & Disease Advisory for that specific crop — tap any listed pest to jump straight to the full entry. Crop Rotation Planner — SowAtlas now examines what you planted in each bed and recommends which plant family group to grow there next year. The four-year rotation cycle (Brassicas → Legumes → Nightshades → Roots/Alliums) is the most-cited way to break pest and disease accumulation in vegetable beds. The Rotation tab shows each bed's last-planted group, which groups to avoid, and which to prioritise this coming season — backed by guidance from RHS, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and Penn State Extension.
