Space Expedition: Classic Adventure 9+

Loving this game, with simple visual style, background story, and gameplay surprises. It's lovingly done, and a great little way to spend some time in video-game land. However, the ads popping up, 30 seconds and mandatory, are killing a lot of the joy of playing it. I understand the need, but they're frequent and jerk you out of the game so fast, you don't want to keep playing.

Okay, yes, the ads could have been inserted a little more gracefully, but this is a great game, and it's otherwise free. I really like that, unlike most other runner games, it's not frantic 100% of the time, and there's always a save point right before the places where you're likely to get killed. There's also some exploring involved, as well as a storyline, and I like that. Incidentally, after about 150 tries, I think I can safely say that it's not possible to use the down elevator through the electrical charge. It's not necessary, of course, but it just seems so -almost- possible.

I just discovered this game and was really digging it! But about 2 minutes into playing I'm hit with a 30 second video advertising Vasoline. I thought, "OK that completely pulled me out of the game, but whatever... I'll give it a fair shake." But as I played and really started to get interested in the story, more and more ads kept coming. Giving the developer the benefit of the doubt, I went to the settings to see it I could pay a couple of bucks to disable ads, but nope... the ability to turn off ads is not an option. Shameful. At least let us pay to turn ads off. It's a shame, because this game is gorgeous and really had potential, but I don't have time for long ads like that.
