This game shows how hard it is to recover the first stage of a rocket. Try to land smoothly as you can.
- Experience the unique thrill of landing a reusable rocket on a land or drone ship in the middle of the ocean.
- Compete with your friends and world-wide players to see who's the best rocket pilot.
Right now, most rockets are destroyed or lost after they launch into space, meaning entirely new rockets must be built for each mission. Reusable rockets that land themselves are a critical aspect of reducing the cost to reach orbit and increase space access. Space tourism become a reality for everyone and also we will be able to establish a city on Mars in the future.
The rocket doesn't travel straight upward into space but follows a parabolic arc up and away from the launch pad. Because of this, the rocket has to go through a lot to conduct a ground landing. The first stage of the rocket separates at the edge of the earth’s atmosphere. Than the vehicle has to slow down in the direction it's heading and completely turn around. It conducted a series of three recovery burns to maneuver the rocket to a designated landing spot at sea or on land and extreme decelerate it from supersonic speeds for a propulsive soft landing, intact and upright using a quartet of landing legs that deploy in the final moments before a slow speed touchdown.

Great start to a fun game!
This game is seriously addicting! It would be great if you can add other features such as complete launch and separation with return landing. Also and instant replay feature for awesome landings. More sound effects and explosion types as well. Another idea would be to add other vehicles such as the ITS and landing locations such as the moon, mars etc. thanks
I figured I’d try this out and I’m so glad I did! It’s my favorite game from the App Store! Beautiful graphics that run silky smooth. I hope the devs come up with new additions to it because it’s a keeper! Very addictive and I’m happy to let a few ads play to support the developers.
Suggestions... time of day change/dusk mode to get a different look of the landings. Add a mode where you take off and fly to a certain altitude and then land rocket like in the early trials. More things happening with the thrusters during tip overs to minimize damage. An occasional successful landing with just 3 of the 4 landing gear legs deployed in case one breaks off. Ability to swap cameras around so any one of them can be the full screen view.
I love this game! Please continue improving it. It’s wonderful! Thanks and great job. :-)
As photorealistic as it gets
The game is both graphically and physically realistic. The graphics at maximum looks fantastic and runs buttery smooth on my iPad Air 2. I like how you get to see 2 extra views which correspond the same views we got to see on TV during the real landings. The camera shake was spot on, but the distortion effect doesn't show up correctly. I've been seeing squares instead of a distortion effect. One thing the devs should add is animated grid fins on the rocket. Also the RCS thrusters should fire when the rocket's landing gear snaps trying to reduce its fall. It could be integrated with an autopilot system, which I'm dying to see. I don't mind seeing an ad popup every once in a while. This game is worth paying for.
