Greetings, Time Cadet, and welcome to this Free Preview of SPACE-TIME ADVENTURE TOURS: Central Park! This AR-enabled app guides tour goers on an hour-long adventure through New York City’s Central Park to discover its hidden history and enjoy a few unexpected surprises along the way. 

After you have downloaded the app, make your way to Central Park. The start of this tour is located at 72nd Street and 5th Avenue, the entrance to the park once known as “Inventor’s Gate.” From there, your mobile device will transform into an official Walkie-Talkie Time Machine™, an all-in-one Space-Age interface that will lead you on a multi-stop tour showcasing many of the park’s main attractions.

This tour includes augmented reality (AR) and spatial audio to enhance the experience and provide accessible navigation, so remember to charge your battery and bring your ear buds.

ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES:
All SPACE-TIME ADVENTURE TOURS are designed for accessibility and include features for non-visual gameplay for blind and visually impaired users as well as haptic feedback for deaf or hard of hearing folks. This app is VoiceOver compatible.

To help with navigating from stop to stop we have provided optional spatial audio beacons. These beacons emit a bell sound that corresponds with the next stop on your map. Headphones are required to unlock this feature. Verbal directions are also included to assist with wayfinding.

Interactive buttons and gestures have also been simplified and designed to be forgiving. For example, when prompted to press the “big red button” you can press anywhere on the lower portion of the screen.
